Smoking - Heroin Virgin

SWIM has never ever taken H before but she thinks, knows, it's something she'd love to try. SWIM heard that there are certain types she needs to attain for smoking, is this correct? SWIM isn't completely opposed to injecting but SWIM would definately much rather smoke, especially for SWIMs first time. SWIM knows about the foil and thinks she'd rather use a toliet paper roll instead of a straw for more inhalation, but she would use a lit candle instead of a lighter. Is this not a good idea, seeing as how candle flames give off extra soot? What should SWIM do...

Swiy can't use a toilet paper roll for inhalation! It's way to big and unfocused, most of swiys hit would just be air. Seriously, if there's one thing junkies know how to do it's get the most out of their drugs.
Plus if swiy uses a bog roll swiy'll look like a complete tw*t.
And yeah candles give off shitloads of soot, the flame's generally way to big, and swiy can't move 'em around like swiy'd do with a lighter.

It seems like swiy isn't in the sort of circle that's filled with addicts?
I dunno, I just find it sad, kind of scary even, when people on the forum clearly don't know what they're doing and have such a flippant attitude towards what could well be the biggest fucking mistake of their lives. I'm all for harm-reduction, and I don't mean to sound like I'm having a go at anyone, it's just this post made me feel a little ill...

Swiy stated there had been no previous use of heroin, so it's more than likely that she doesn't run with junkies (yet).

It seems that swiy is asking questions, and as silly as they may sound to someone more knowledgeable, swiy probably just doesn't know (which is why swiy is *asking*). It's not sad not to know something--it's sad not to know something and not seek the answer. Just swim's opinion!

Swiy can use the forum search engine and find many threads on smoking heroin; perhaps someone will come along and answer her question.

(Swim has only ever injected heroin, so she can't safely answer the question.)

Swim will say that swiy should think carefully about her choice, read and learn (in the name of harm reduction) and if at all possible, have someone with her who has used before. Always start low --once it's in, it doesn't come back out.

swiy is going to do whatever you want anyway, but i will add that i strongly advise you read up on people experiences, and harm reduction, as you are seemingly nieve about the whole situation. watch requiem or trainspotting, and see where dope gets you. not to sound cliche but i know a lot of people on this forum get sick when they see a heroin-nieve person get lights in their eyes thinking it's all fun and games...it's a game alright, but not a fun one.

If after all the research and decision making SWIY wants to still smoke "H" then there is NO REASON WHY SWIY cannot use a toilet paper roll.The only thing that SWIM would advise is that SWIY gets a hand from a friend.SWIY's friend can hold the lighter while SWIY holds the foil and roll.This method is usually for 2 people.SWIM does however recomend making a tooter out of foil so that it is more manageable and SWIY can collect residue.Good Luck,Stay Safe,and think b4 u leap.

there's still unanswered questions. The types of dope, whether it be china white, or black tar, and the most importaint, dose. Now from swim's understanding, black tar is generally smoked, and is much like opium, and possible injection? swim isn't sure. But china white is generally for insufflation, and slamming, and isn't sure if it's worth smoking. Now being ignorant to heroin too, and isn't too far from learning real quick why it's called heroin, would like to gain as much knowlage as possible, before an oppertunity even comes for swim to try, since it's not a drug you fuck around with.

SWIM is grateful for everyone seeming to care, but SWIM is no stranger to addiction. This may make matters seem worse but SWIM is the child of a current crack addict, and a completely recovered meth and h addict. She isn't ignorant to the dangers, and SWIM doesn't really seem to have stars in her eyes about all of this, which is why she has educated herself about the risk and dangers of the drug. SWIM isn't an addict and doesn't really see herself becoming addicted to anything, simply because she's seen the lifestyle first hand. She can control herself with everything else she does, she's just curious and would like to broaden her horizons.

But SWIM has looked around for ways to smoke, she didn't plan on doing it herself which is why the toliet paper roll was mentioned. Just something else to try, SWIM had no intentions of this being a frequent thing.

If anyone can help with the previous questions, it would be greatly appreciated.

One more question, SWIM has been looking and hasn't found a definate answer. She was thinking about using a meth pipe instead of the foil, but does water need to be added to the smack for either method? And about how much, she's going to be using a little bit less than a matchstick head...
