Addiction - Worst times to speed.

Swim started his new job last week. And he went the last couple days on some adderall. Popping another one each time he had a break.

And man. Everybody there has to think he's a crackhead now. He had to go to the managers office, who was rather pissed off at the moment, and he made swim nervous, so he had all of these little tics and his eyes were all big and he was so fucking scared he thought he was on drugs. That happened a couple times actually. Lesson learned. Don't go to work on speed anymore. Unless it's at low controlled doses(which swim usually caves in and binges hard).

Also. Make sure to never comedown from speed at work.

God damn it though. This means swim can't do speed more than like one day a week, which I don't think is humanly possible.

Also, don't do it at if you don't have money/access to cigarettes and vicodin, otherwise coming down will be a lot worse than it has to be.

So.. Yeah. Feel free to post times and places where it is NOT appropriet to do speed or come down.

Being addicted to amphetamines is hard work...

It's pretty easy to hide meth, it just takes someone high on meth alot to figure out a way of hiding it or playing it off.

Cigarettes my panda can understand, at least if one is a smoker. Stimulants and nicotine pair excellently, not to mention the effortless feeling one gets when inhaling a cig on adderall.

Don't see why vicodin is really necessary though. A nice cup of kava generally works fine for my panda, or a bit of benzos if no kava is to be found.

Kava tastes terrible so i hear. Swim loved it at first now it makes him gag.

Vicodin was just an option that's easy to get here and works for me. Diazepam or alprazolam are way better though ^^

Hehe, SWIM works with his brother. His brother often comes to work plurring. SWIM and his brother have done speed, at work, together. And come down from it, at work, together.

It's totally not a problem for SWIM. SWIM can be like, "holy shit, SWIM did to much 'cid, SWIM can't come in."

swim finds that the worst time to speed is when one is already speeding and that little devil on his shoulder says. you would work so much better if you had.... 2 more lines, hell, go wild, make it 3. For a while, swim is a veritable whirlwind of human functionality, but as it peaks, he gets all tweaked out and just runs around doing random things for no rhyme or reason. Plus, the more he boosts the high with supporting lines, the more retarded he feels as he comes down (sometimes actually impairing his ability to function (ala walking and hearing...)).

also for swim, he can't use it in school, at all. He just does his own thing instead of listening to the lecturers, because for some reason he gets intense egomania (a trait he enjoys sober and speeding), and feels better than his instructors, because he loathes busy work and prefers to do work requiring heavy thought while on adderall (paper writing, creative writing, analysis of things in his life). He finds it makes him a discontent worker bee, whereas sober he can generally grudgingly submit to busywork.

-When SWIY has to do something that requires a straight mine.
-When SWIY is feeling depressed and wanting to escape.
-When SWIY needs to do something physical stressful.
-When SWIY is already on other drugs and doesn't know if they'll interact badly.
-When SWIY thinks he needs to speed to do anything productive in life.
-When SWIY only dreams, thinks, talks about, and desires speed.

List goes on with similar situations.

Going to rehab in June, too much to do until then.. but planning having a nice clean summer break, then see how it goes when Swim returns to Uni..

Swim's found that saying "I quit" isn't a good idea, because one slip and you give up. But if Swim takes a break, and sets a goal, and slips, it's okay, you can forgive yourself and have the strength to move on. But really quitting while you're surrounded by other users just won't work. When Swim is in a good place, and the rest of Swim's life is relatively sorted, Swim will work out his various niggling addictions. Luckily they're not preventing Swim from getting to that point so.. You just need to be self aware. Aware if you're taking the drug or the drug is taking you.

My kitty does not work on speed because it is drastically incompatible with her job. her job involves lots of wandering about not doing very much one moment and talking about art to schoolkids the next neither of which are compatible she finds. However this cat needs her speed so she tends to do it in the evening after work. This is ok cause so long as she stops at 11pm she is usually able to sleep at a reasonable hour. Luckily kitty is naturally rather manic and energetic so the amphetamine in her bloodstream merely tops this up... also her coworkers have only seen the speed version as when she gave up before she was in London and now she works with new people 200 miles north...
Comedowns are a lot worse, she is incredibly flat and uptight and silent and it is such a contrast that people really pick up on it. This cat finds hiding being "up" a lot easier than controlling the bad mood supersulk... so she saves the real three day binges for a time when she's not in work for a bit.
she sometimes "poisons" seemingly innocuous drinks such as dr pepper with her favourite pick me up as don't know about anyone else but kitty finds the idea of alcohol without stimulants pointless and would rather have orange juice... she is referring to speeding sneakily in after work pub outings...

Speeding in airports, or indeed any official situation, even if kitty has zilch actually on her, is agitating. Especially when visiting America and the iris check thing happens - argh they can only see my pupils!
Also in a heatwave is bad...
Kittykat combined the two in Vegas a few years back, she tried crystal for the first time and of course loved it (as she does with all stimulants from caffeine upwards, but strangely doesn't care for coke and has never tried crack and would like to keep it that way)
As it is well nigh impossible to get meth in the uk, she couldn't resist a few lines on the blazing hot day of her departure - just a lil domestic flight to SF not back to Blighty... and this on top of her imported English speed, oh dear. well it was 42 degrees maybe 110 in f I think and not at all entertaining
But nothing actually happened of course
In life don't you find it only goes wrong when you think it's going to be fine, kitty is referring to general adventures not just speed-related ones...
