How do you measure your doses?

How does everyone here measure their RC doses? Most scales I know aren't accurate enough... are there accurate enough scales?

i use a gempro 50 scale. It is accurate to 2mg. It isnt the best scale on the market but it gets the job done.

Ebay is a good source for milligram scales. Currently they have one accurate to 1mg going for $70.



If a scale is to expensive for you, liquid measuring works fine.

I put my RCs in vodka, usually I use the little bottle of 50mL for 100mg of RCs.

Then I measure with a syringe 1mL=2mg. If I want to get the powder, I
put it into a glass. I use my heater with low temperature to accelerate
the process.

yes a spoon for a ten milligram dose. not your typical spoon mind you. I think the one I use was originally with a chemistry set and holdslike5 microlitersliquidvolume.... with practice it becomes very efficient.

about the vodka thing... doesn't Shulgin (and at least many other people, including common sense) specifically say that most RCs should not be mixed with alcohol? I guess 1 mL is too little to do anything...?

I assume this process would work with 2C-I, correct?

the amount of alcohol is so small that it is insignificant.

And actually ive mixed beer with 2ci many times. i think they make for a great combination.

Here is how I measure my doses.



First you must make sure you have a reliable source that sent you
exactly how much you ordered. If you aren't sure if the amount is
exact then you should only use an mg scale to measure doses.



I just mix my rc with vodka. If it is cold, you need to warm it
up before it will all dissolve. I usually mix 500ml of vodka with
one gram of my substance so that I can easily measure out 20mg.
10ml of the vodka will equal 20mg of your substance. This method
is great for 2c-i and 2c-e because a 20 mg dose is perfect for
me. You can also get a 10mg dose, or whatever you want. If
you mix 1 g with 500ml, each ml will be one mg. You can use
however much you want, but I use 500ml per gram because 10ml is a
perfect amount if liquid. It can easily be stored in a small
vial. Hope this helps.

I bought a Mettler mechanical lab balance. Accurate to 1/100 of a mg. It's pretty nice. I've used it to weigh out 3mg of 5meo-dmt! It takes some time to weigh out but is very accurate.

It depends how powerful you want the solution to be. I would recommend either mixing with 100ml or 50ml. With 100, each ml will be 1mg and with 50ml each ml will be 2mg.Edited by: raven3davis

if you know that you have been giving the exsact amount from your supplyer say 100mg you can use graph paper the stuff you used at school with little squares on it pore it out and divide in to equal size piles of powder messured againsed the small squaires on the paper it can take a while but you get the right amounts in the end and you can then store the piles sepratly in wraps or bags so you dont have to messure it out again if you want another dose this i cheap way if you cant get or afored mg scales also if you dont want to mix it or take it with alcohol the best and safest way is ofcoures to get a scal though so you can waigh and messure exsactly and can check the starting amount.

LOL. No. It was $250 plusshipping. It was serviced, calibrated, and locked downand shipped insured UPS in about a foot of bubblewrap. I lucked out on the auction. At the time a similar scale went for over $300 and only had a readability of .1 mg. LOL.

I was skeptical of cheap scales also, but my calibration weights tell me
that the Tanita 1210 is perfectly accurate once you get used to working
with it. Also, using a 1mg calibration wieght, you can weigh samples to
odd #'s of milligrams.

I think I'd want something fancier for weighing samples less than 10mg
though, for peace of mind.

Water method, modified:

dissolve in water plus a little ascorbic acid or lemon juice (helps the alkaloids dissolve).

use 1 mg / mL for most RC's (5-MeO's might not work, 2C's and
4-substituted T's will). warm the solution in a pan of hot water
and shake/swirl.

freeze what you won't be using soon and it will keep virtually indefinitely.

you can never be sure you are getting an exact amount from your suplier unless you see it weighed out with own eyes.

thus using any volumetric or other method than weighing with an accurate scale is just asking for trouble.

chemicals are also different densities so using a spoon is no measure of safety - just the other day i weighed a tiny clump of 4-HO-MiPT thinking it to be about 3mg - it turned out to be 30mg - and i have lots of experience weighing things.

if you have enough money to buy internet powders, you have enough money to buy a tanita 1210, end of story.

Well put. Shipments of different compounds from the same supplier
have ranged from exact to well over 100mg off, from what SWIM has seen,
which could lead to unpleasantly high doses with some compounds.

How much ascorbic acid or lemon juice per 1 liter? For a 2c...i??
