Addiction - How much weight have SWIY lost since becoming addicted?

SWIM has lost 2 and a half stone since he started IV'ing about 6months ago. What about the rest of you SWIMMERS?

WHen Red Rock was doing heroin and was at his worst, he lost 23 pounds. He doesn't know what that equates to in stones

Swim is not 100% sure, but she believe 1 stone=14 lbs.

Swim gained a bit of weight she was using. Swim needed it, so she was pretty happy about it. Swim has been using stimulants previous to that, so she was too thin.

Swim gained maybe 10-15 well-needed pounds.

SWIM doesn't do smack - mostly because of it's lack of availability but he is addicted to pods and other opiates and if anything he has actually gained weight. Opiates kind of give him the munchies and he craves a lot of junk food. He always ate a lot of food before but he didn't eat very much junk food. Now he eats just as much meat and real food as he did before but he also eats a lot of ice cream, (at least 1 big bowl a day), a lot of cereal (Fruity Pebbles FTW!), tons of soda (probably about 4-5 cans of coke a day), Rice Krispy Treats.... the list goes on.

SWIM doesn't weigh himself regularly but he believes his gut is getting bigger again. He used to have a huge gut when he was a practicing alcoholic but he lost about 30 lbs. when he quit drinking. Now he fears Opiates are making it return .

It's not really the gear which makes you lose weight, it's the lifestyle of being properly addicted to gear. Food, like literally everything else ceases to become important when you're a smackhead.
Swim thinks swim lost about one and a half, to two stone. Today's been good though, swim stole a twix, this big thing of feta cheese, a fruit drink and some korean noodle soup thing!

At the height of SWIM's addiction (summer 07) she lost a good 45-50 pounds.

Exactly. When SWIM lost all that weight, her ENTIRE life consisted of scoring, slamming, scoring, slamming.

SWIM has always been thin anyway but when she was really hitting the pipe and the brown hard she went down to six and a half stone. Then when she had a period of abstinence her weight started to go back up and then she started drinking at one point - quite a lot of cider - and got a beer-belly! Yuck! She weighed eight stone and two pounds, which is the most SWIM has ever weighed (she is only 5ft3 mind you). Now SWIM is using again and she weighs about seven stone, maybe just over. She is probably a little underweight but not too worried about it.

Dope actually made SWIM gain weight for a while. He worked out for about 5 years religiously before getting hooked on H, and found equilibrium at about 180 lbs (81.5 kgs) with no visible body fat (SWIM is ~6'1 (~1.86m)).

SWIM stopped working out, and SWIM's weight stayed at 180 lbs (81.5 kgs) for about a year despite inactivity, until all his veins got blown out from shooting. Then he integrated doing about a 10 minute workout into his shooting up ritual (pushups, sit up, curls, shoulder exercises, leg exercises), to get the blood pumping so he could hit a vein. Something about that combination made SWIM gain about 15 lbs pretty quick, bringing him up to 195 lbs (88.5 kgs). He got totally freaked out by gaining definition-overriding stomach fat, but was saved in a way by running out of money and being in withdrawals most of the time (and not eating). Since then SWIM lost 30 lbs, and is down to a steady 165 lbs (74 kilos).

This was purely from being dope sick all the time though. Now he doesn't have to eat, or can eat all he wants, and pretty much stays within a couple pounds. SWIM actually likes this weight and plans on sticking with it. SWIM is on suboxone and feels partially ill most of the time, so enjoying food is not really a problem for SWIM and keeping the weight off is effortless.

Opposite Scenario:
SWIM had a friend who was really hot and loved his uppers. He was a bi-sexual "gay prostitute" and made a ton of money and drugs from doing it. He DJed as well, and pretty much nobody had shit on him when it came to partying. He got and stayed hooked on crystal meth for a long while. He finally quit, but he went from having an 8 pack washboard stomach and a perfectly defined and muscular body and attractive face, to becoming literally morbidly obese with a giant face and neck within a month or two of getting off it. He died in his apartment alone from choking to death on Big Macs (seriously; it is a very sad story).

Not so much with H, but certainly with opiates such as morphine sulphate (MST), which SWIM used to take upwards of 600mgs at a time with a couple of glasses of cider recreationally, SWIM would get "the munchies", which were equivalent to those she used to get when she was a pot-head, back in the day, lol. Seriously though, SWIM used to get a big hunger on when she was peaking on morphine and she'd munch her way through the contents of her kitchen.
Sometimes SWIM will get hungry a couple of hours into taking the brown stuff but not as much as with morphine. The big difference between the two for SWIM though is that after a night spent using heroin, SWIM won't wanna eat anything for a good few days (4 or 5 even). And if she does eat it's usually sweets or snack food: crap in other words. SWIM can't contemplate cooking a proper meal for herself though or even preparing a sandwich: to be honest making a couple of pieces of toast is an effort somedays. Hmm ... thinking about it now, it's not much fun being a heroin addict.

Yeah, swim never feels hungry until like 5-10 minutes after a hit. Then he generally gets hit by a craving to drink lots of water, and eat summin.

This SWIM stands 6' 5", he was about 20stone, after 8 months of ' [H]ard at it I.V ' he was 11stone, where he has stayed for past 6 years or so.

When SWIM was addicted bad she lost about 25 pounds...which is really obvious on a girl that is only 5'6" and has always been average weight

When SWIM was shooting cocaine and heroin everyday for just over a year he went from 180lbs (81.5kg) to 130lbs (59kg). SWIM is a 6'2" (188cm) tall male.

SWIM is now back to 175lbs

Swim has used and been without drugs for several times. The most weight he dropped was 30 kgs in 2 year period using, after that he gained about 35 kilos in year. Not the healthiest way to live.

swim is 5'6" and generally stays about 120 lbs (~8.6 stone); while on large daily amounts of iv coke and heroin for a couple months last year she dropped to 105 lbs (7.5 stone)...she gained it back when she quit the coke though and has cut back tremendously on opiates (just some morphine or oxycoodone on weekends now and she plans to cut back further in the new year ) without losing/gaining significantly. she has used and will continue to smoke bud, as the munchies help her maintain proper weight.

swim has a huge metabolism, and has weighed within +/- 10 lbs since he entered highschool....scary, i've gotten bigger but the heroin has just made me stay toned and not gain any weight...my small muscles are ripped, but i'm fucking small..i feel like i should be competeing against that george of the jungle 10 year old...hahah!!!

Well swim feels he is not perfectly heathly to start with,but the dope defently wont help...
Swim usealy weighs around 150lbs, and is 5'7...and has lifted weight for most of his life,but swim hasent lifted in the past 8 years realy,pushups here and there,but after dope he cant seem to get back to 150lbs,he has probably only lost 10 pounds wich he gained 5lbs already,it is back in forth though...
