Drug info - Oxycodone-How many days to lower resistance ?

I have taken oxycodone for about a year but in the last month or two have seen my tolerance shoot up (480mg in one go and nothing) In my years of taking oxy or morphine I have been able to stop for a few days at will. How many days do I need to "rest" to allow my body to appreciate a 100mg dose?

wow, a long, long time. Months, definitly. Just forget about opiates for a long long time. But it depends on the individual. Who knows? it could take 3 weeks, or a year. Trial and error i guess

I wouldn't suggest stopping taking it all at once because you are certain to go into withdrawl. Try gradually working your way back down over a period of weeks or months, eventually going down below 100mg. It will take a long time though.

I take the medecine on prescription (due to a chronic pain problem) and I have no problem stopping for two or three days and never experience any withdrawl like symptoms. Am I likely to suffer withdrawl if I stop for a week or ten days? I reckon this will lower my tolerance a good deal.

Yes you are likely to experience withdrawl and I wouldn't expect such a short break to do much for your tolerance.

the faster you stop, the faster tolerance goes down; just keep that in mind.
