Experiences - Datura stramonium, Jimson.. Experiences?

When SWIM was younger he and his bros encountered "Jimsonweed" which is considered a "true" hallucinogen. Unlike psylocybin or LSD an atropine induced vision is more than just altered perception. It actually caused SWIus to go partially insane. Devil seeds is what SWIwe called it. SWIwe got out out the field with a garbage bag full of the prickly pods before the cops got in and torched the field.
SWIM just wondered if any SWIYs had encountered anything like this and is very curious...

Swim has wanted to find some for a very long time, but has so far been outta luck.
All swim knows is that knowing how much to take is important, because since it truly makes you hallucinate so bad that you can't tell reality from non-reality, many people have redosed because they don't think its working.

It can be VICIOUS!!! If SWIY ever finds it be VERY careful. SWIM found his in N Virginia growing wild. And be very careful with dosing it can really FUCK SWIY up even send to the hospital which is why the field got torched by the fuzz.

SWIM thinks too much! Recommended dose was like 10-15 seeds not knowing which had the more potent atropene alkaloids. SWIwe/all of us took a tablespoon each. Sure fucked us up BAD!!! Some went to the hospital, others were discovered running around naked in different neighborhoods doing absolutely bizarre activities, ie picking grass, mumbling in bushes, wading in streams, stuck in storm drains. All appeared to be talking to people who weren't there. SWIM remembers visiting with dead people. And not being able to see clearly the next day, couldn't read ANYTHING too fuzzy. Scary shit dude!!!!!

Wow, sounds like swiy had a fuckin crazy experience. Swim has been talking to some people about where to find it in the midwest, and some has said you can't find it up here, and others say they know several places that has it. Swim visited a couple of said places and it looked nothing like jimson weed. So... Swim has no idea if it does even grow up here. Anyone know anything about where in the midwest it would grow?

SWIMs was in the Washington DC area. Make sure they are the prickly pods that have 4 splits. It is a weed that grows wild so looking through fields may yield a discovery. But be CAREFUL PLEASE!!! It will take SWIY on a ride you can never expect or be prepared for. The danger is is put SWIY so far out there you have no sense of reality. Just be careful..

These plants do strange things to people, if they're lucky.

Nobody knew a kid who did the stuff on a regular basis, one day he drank some in tea, and his friend showed up, they sat around and talked for a while and he didn't notice anything so he brewed up a second batch and drank some more. Three days later he woke up and remembered his friend had been dead for 4 years, his house was utterly trashed, everything he owned was ruined. He had no recollection of what had occurred and why it seemed he hadn't used the toilet once in the previous three days (the recliner seeming to be the preferred spot) He was kicked out of his house soon after.

This isn't fun, enjoyable, pleasant...Period. There are no sane reasons to justify use of this plant. You black out and do things that defy logic, often nude, in public, resulting in the police coming to lock you up. You end up on the news, and another round of drug scare stories.

Potter is TOTALLY CORRECT!!!!! You WILL see things that do not exist. Having conversations with dead people was experienced by SWImy colleagues. Another group was so zooted they had intruders come in and rob and totally clean them out, even took their wallets out of their back pockets. USE EXTREME CAUTION if any SWIYs do decide to use this plant.

Swim has tired smoking Datura seeds with little to none effects, by little Swim means he couldnt sit down and stuff kept moving about. Swim is not sure if that is linked to it though. Swims mate on the other hand has tired Datura seeds over days and says the high is very much like weed but kept hearing voices and had to keep looking to the sides and behind him because he thought people was in the room with him.

Swim is very close friends of the guy he knew who did datura and talks to him daily. Any questions could easily be asked. But do note he only did it once or twice.

Well, after reading up on it so much, pouring over trip reports and thoroughly checking it out, me and a mate decided to try it the infamous Datura plant.

120 Datura metal seeds came our way, so called it at 60 each.

3:00pm - 61 seeds were crushed in our mouths (not a bad taste, quite wood like) and washed down with a good amount of water. We’d heard a lot about dehydrating so didn’t want to take any chances.

4:00pm - Feeling slightly weird, nothing to major really, pretty much roll up a weak joint and you’re there.

5:00pm - Feeling pretty strange now, like feeling stoned but your limbs just don’t really work at all

It gets a bit sketchy here on the times, but ill do my best to try and recall it as accurately as possible.

9:30pm - It might have been later, but around this time I realised there was no way I could make the walk home, so I decided that in my current state, phoning the parents for a lift home was a cracking idea...

10:00pm - Got home just as the younger sisters are heading off to bed (thank god), just me and the old man downstairs. I think it took about 30 seconds of conversation before he asked me "mate, what the hell are you on?"
I decided to come clean, if I was that obvious then there was no way I would be able to hide it, told him I was on Datura and gave a quick grin at his look of puzzlement.

10:30pm - I couldn’t form sentences at all, any attempt at speech would be greeted by looks of puzzlement. This actually got really annoying as in my mind I’d know what i was trying to say, but somehow I’d know I hadn’t said it right. I decided to hit the hay and call it a night.

11:00pm - After making wild attempts at talking to people on msn I finally gave up and went back downstairs to grab a drink.
The parents were there and had just started a show I normally watch with them
"ahh nice, just in time" I said, and sat down.
About 2 minutes into it I went into the kitchen, got out all the stuff to make a bowl of rice Krispies, sat down only to find the bowl had vanished!
I started hunting through the cupboards franticly, there was no way I was going to let that bowl get away, I clearly remembered putting it on the table.
It wasn’t until a good 10 minutes later when my Dad came out, asking what exactly it was I was doing that I realised the milk was still in the fridge, bowl and spoon in the cupboard, cereal still safely in its box, on the shelf.
I mumbled something about “that damn cereal”, and tried again.
Same thing happened, I’d be just about to take a spoon full, and realise I hadn’t actually moved.

I actually did this another 2 or 3 times before my dad offered to pour it for me, I instantly lost interest and said id find them in the morning.

(no memory of time what so ever now, so ill just guess)

11:30pm - I got up and went to the kitchen, but as soon as i got there i forgot why i was there, then it all suddenly came back, i was being the waiter for my mum for the evening, how silly of me.
So i put 2 plastic kids cups on a little plate and brought them into the front room, my mum looked at them, and me, for quite some time before coming out with "...what’s that?"
I looked down, "oh i forgot the drinks"

Now as far as i remember, i went to my room and stayed there for the night, but apparently i was doing anything but that.

I nearly woke up my sisters asking if i could borrow £1 to buy an ice-cream from the van that had pulled up outside (just past midnight)

Said something about a party and how my dad would feel so left out because there was this hot girl going that id be with and he’d be all alone.

One of the highlights of the night was using the house phone to ring my dealer, but hanging up after I’d said who it was. He promptly phoned back, my dad answered to a lovely sounding black man asking “what did [name] want to buy?”, smooth.

Something about i needed to phone a girl i knew, but couldn’t because there was something wrong with the phone.

Also, id announce that i was going to bed, go upstairs and lie in bed for about a minute, look at the time and go "oh fuck, my shows already started", bound back downstairs and sit down, every time saying "how much have i missed then?"
I’d then watch a good 2 minutes of the program before repeating the whole process several times over.

I have no idea what time i finally stayed in my room, probably about 1 am or so.

When i got into my room though, the really crazy shit started happening.
Id lie down in my bed for what couldn’t have been more than a few seconds when a friend would pop out of the wall, of course id sit up straight away, turn on the light and have a chat with him/her and be really enjoying myself for about 5 mins, then suddenly id look away for some reason, or blink and id feel quite alone again.
This happened to varying degrees of seriousness, at one point i was sat up in my chair, browsing the net with a few mates behind me, only to appear suddenly, very alone, staring at a blank monitor, in the dark...
I also had conversations with my dad a few times, and these really tripped me out because i knew that they could have actually happened.
What you need to bare in mind though is that somehow, deep down in my mind I knew what I was seeing wasn’t real, if i started to get scared it would take a good 20 minutes of reassuring myself, but I could convince myself all was well.
But the visuals with my dad in scared me quite a lot for some reason, i’m fairly sure it was because I couldn’t tell if they were real, no matter how much I asked myself.

Another notable one was a poster on my wall turning to look at me, so i challanged it to a staring comp, and beat it [IMG]file:///C:/Users/lewism/AppData/Local/Temp/msohtmlclip1/01/clip_image001.gif[/IMG]

Now this was quite entertaining for a while, every time id realise i was on my own id chuckle a bit and laugh at how stupid i was.
But after a good few hours of this, i was really starting to loose it. My bed had become so uncomfortable and sitting in my chair gave me a splitting pain in my side.
I could never tell what was and what wasn’t, id fall asleep, only to blink and find myself in my chair with the lights on, now which one of them was real, the bed or the chair? At which point it I then started going down the mental pathway of
“Well how do I know any of this is real, i’ve just blinked and discovered that the last 20 minutes didn’t happen, if I was to do something now, would it really happen?”
Very dangerous state to be in, as it quite easily leads to
“well if i was to bite/cut/hurt etc...”
Thankfully nothing bad happened during the night.

In short, it was a long night.

I woke up the next day about 10:30 feeling fine, no hangover and my head actually felt quite cleansed.
Only lasting damage was where my mouth had got so dry in the day (even with 2 litres of water to drink) my lips have cracked quite badly, as well as even while writing this my pupils are still a bit dilated and everything’s kind of blurry.

Had a chat with my parents, explained to them that it was a really stupid thing to do and i wasn’t really expecting it to be that intense. They just smiled and said they were more worried than pissed, and had some laughs at the stuff id done.

I don’t think i will take this again for quite time, and if i do i want to be around at least 1 other tripper and 3 other sitters, in a friendly house that i know.

I know there will be countless people that read this and think
“Wow, I’ll definitely be giving that a go!”
I know I did exactly that. Just please go careful where you take it, I was lucky to have such understanding parents, it could have quite easily ended up in a hospital, police cell or worse.
And finally, this experience really helped bring home the point that no matter how much you read up on a drug, no matter how “hard” you think you are in taking heroic doses, new chemicals can still come round and put you on your ass harder than you’d like to think

Amen!!! This stuff is not to be taken lightly. But SWIM knows saying this will probably set off a wave of warriors desperate to locate some. SWIMS experience was very similar to the above except WAY more intense considering swim took approx 200 seeds. I dont know how strongly I can stress this stuff can be VERY dangerous!
