Are barbiturates hepatoxic by themselves?

Idiosyncratic hepatotoxicity has beeen reported with barbiturates alone, yes:

Phenobarbital has specific effects on the mitochondrial system, which is separate from the liver enzyme induction that occurs with most barbiturates (which does not cause hepatotoxicity by itself)

So correct me if Im wrong: idiosyncratic hepatoxicity is when the liver damage occurs unpredictably?

AFOAF currently takes butalbital (fiorcet) which contains 325mg acetaminophen. This friend of a friend weighs 144lbs at 5'11", should they be worried considering; they ussually dose at 100-200mg butalbital w/ 650-1300mg acetaminophen, & apparently both drugs are hepatoxic?

They would do a CWE but they have not been able to find the correct ingredients (sodium hydroxide, & hydrochloric acid)to do so.
