methadone wd sleep help
i got lunesta no benzos so i was wondering how many lunesta is to many cuz nothing is helping me sleep

While lunesta (eszopiclone) is described as a non-benzo hypnotic due to its chemical structure, it is an agonist at the same receptors and thus similar precautions aught to be taken therewith. The standard starting doses range from 1-3 mg, but as with any drug potentially dangerous in higher doses, SWiY should talk to a doctor before going any higher. Or, preferably, before taking it at all.

When SWIM was kicking a 120mg/day Methadone maintenance dose, he found that the only thing that would provide any help in the sleep department was Tramadol. Benzodiazepines like Clonazepam only helped him relax a little or simply made him more delirious due to lack of sleep, but all in all were of no help in providing any quality sleep(unless he ingested an unsafe amount). Also, SWIY may want to try soaking in a tub of very hot water. But please, make sure that you have someone watch you while you do this. SWIM has fallen asleep in the tub with the water still running and flooded his flat. Not to mention the possibility of drowning ones self. Also, SWIY should not expect to get any productive sleep for a good while. (It took SWIM six days before he got any sleep what so ever). Severe leg pain may also become a problem along with ungodly restlessness. Tramadol should also help make this a little more bearable. SWIM should keep his head up, it will end eventually in about 2-3 weeks, usually. NOTE: Taking more methadone only helps for the duration of that dose. If SWIY can, taper off gradually. Still, no matter how far one weens themselves off of Methadone, discomfort and sleeplessness are inevitable. One other thing SWIY MAY want to try is Trazodone for aiding in sleep. Use caution though, It may just put SWIY in a walking blackout depending on ones level of sleep deprivation. All the best.
