Crude extraction using standard vodka (40%)
SWIMs friend wants to try some dried peruvian torch, but is unable/unwilling to obtain fancy chemicals needed for a proper extraction.
Is it possible to do an extremely crude extraction using standard vodka (40%). Bearing in mind that the tea method uses water anyway. (SWIMs chemistry is not the best, but SWIM was thinking as there is more water than alcohol, the alcohol might be all attracted to the water and thus unlikely to extract anything from the cactus). |

It would probably be much more worth SWIYs while to use High-proof ethanol (if in US) or 99% Isopropyl Alcohol (if in Europe). It will be more effective, easier to evap and no hassle to buy. Look at this:
http://www.drugs-forum.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54076 Vodka would work but it will be more expensive and less effective. |
