Severe constipation with PST

Nobody has never had any issues with constipation and opiate use, they are a "lightweight" rarely ingesting more then 20-30mg of Vicoden, and almost never using anything stronger. Recent experiments with PST have yielded effects comparable to such doses, except for the following...

Dose: aprox 1qt, 1/4lb poppy seeds, liquid empty stomach

t+10m, dull pains and tightening in lower stomach for around 10 minutes

t+2d No poopies, nobody is on the whole regular, with one or two movements in the morning, like clockwork. Stinky gas and mild cramping felt for the 2 days.

t+3d a very large, soft poop, often feeling like 3 days worth of food at once, no trouble getting it out. Still it doesn't exactly feel like a relief.

Nobody usually refrains from eating a whole lot on the day of dosing, or the day after if a second dose is taken (as they often get two doses per preparation) Otherwise eating is resumed as normal following the end of the opiate effects. Liquids are consumed as normal.

PST is consumed no more then twice a week, usually on consecutive days, with at least a week in between.

So what gives here? How is PST specifically different from pharmacologically extracted opiates, in relation to lower bowel effects? Is there some way of getting around this, say eating liquorish or prunes beforehand, or should nobody just give up the new found joy of PST?

Re: Severe constipation with PST

not my favorite topic of discussion but one that should be discussed if it can save folks some "discomfort".

One finds that using a fiber supplement along with natural stool softeners when dosing works wonders... take them three times a day if one can remember to do so while "podding", particularly if one is ingesting poppy straw.

Re: Severe constipation with PST

Is this a common issue? Nobody hates to think of what would happen to someone regularly using this stuff and never pooping. After two or three days nobody definitely knows he can feel the used up food accumulating, a week of that...massive grossness!

yes it is common, especially to regular users and addicts.

it is no fun at all, which is why taking some precautions ahead of time [and during] makes the crucial difference between discomfort and regularity
