Alcohol effects on health

18 year old, drinking. Do even small amounts of alcohol mess up health, like liver and brain cells and stuff?

NO, getting wasted kills cells (brain and other organs) and spedifically damages the liver but still usually noticable health effects only occur after many years of abuse, but there is always the danger of getting addicted (in so many words) to it, but then again almost everyone well get drunk at some point in their lives...

Research indicates that drinken a amount of 15 beers a week will cause brain-damage after several years. Drinking 21 beers a week will cause significiant brain damage after several year.

But don't really believe that though. My dad surely drinks 21 beers a week, and does that for like 20 years or so. He is just still funtioning normaly.

They blame the indirect damage to a shortage of vitamine B1 (that is depleted by alcohol) the shortage causes minor bleedings in the brain, what causes the damage.

I can remember something about the grapes where wine is made from contain big amounts of anti-oxidants which is good for you. And it also wides your blood vessels, which can be good for you and your heart. But this only counts if you are like above 50 or so.

The amounts of wine they are talking about are 1-2 glasses.

There is lots of good information about the effects of alcohol on webmd.com. The article that impressed me most states that drinking a single of serving of alcohol (any kind -- the study mixed pure alcohol with koolaid) a day will thin your blood and therefore reduce the risk of future health problems. now I have a drink every day just as if I were taking my medicine.

Of course alcohol f**ks up u r body and mind. its ironic that booze is legal and less harmful drugs(E,weed, acid) are illagal.

alcohol addiction can b worse than scag:it as physically adictive, and if u r an alcoholic and u stop drinking immediately it can kill u, which even scag doesn't do.

E and acid are both class A drugsnly 1 person has ever died from the physical effects of taking acid, while out of every million people who take X ,only 7 die.out of every million people who get drunk, approximately 6-700 of them die, while no one has EVER died from taking cannabis, plus all these drugs are non addictive and far less harmful to your health than bevvy>
