Drug testing and hydroxyzine

SWIM is wondering if hydroxyzine has the potential to give a false positive for anything on a standard 5 panel drug test? or any other kind of drug test for that matter...

NO. hydroxyzine is nothing more than a variation of benadryl--a non-controlled (in the US), but still PRESCRIPTION antihistamine that (like benadryl) is sedating.

as added hype--and to give physicians the ability to deny benzos to those with anxiety issues--hydroxyzine is also often touted as an anti-anxiety med.

if you wanted to you could spin it as an antihistamine, a sleeping pill, an anti-anxiety, an anti-itch med, a sunburn reliever, an anti-emetic (to stop puking), as well as an anti-Parkinson's disease cure.

doesn't change the fact that it's (by and large) a non-abusable, non-addictive totally bullshit, non-drug-of-abuse. and if you're in the US, it's not even a controlled substance.

Don't sweat it. and if they 'claim' that you pissed dirty, DENY THE HELL OUT OF IT! this will force them to do a GC/MS confirmatory test which (of course) will be negative.

Cool SWIM thanks you. SWIM gets tested frequently and randomly and was wanting to try this to help him sleep better at times. SWIM was taking seroquel, but has ran out of it.
