Combinations - Taking Zolpidem with Alprazolam

my friend swim snorted a quarter of a green bar at around 2 p.m. would it be safe for swim to take a ambien later in the day and if so when? This is my first time taking ambien not xanax though.

Swim thinks its should be ok. Swiys xanax dose is very small so swiys ambien dose might be also?

Yeh, SWIY should be just fine. The doses you are talking about are small enough so that it should not matter much. If talking about higher doses one can end up getting really fucked up and doing some stupid shit. Higher doses would also almost guarantee a blackout as well. Those would be the major concerns. Some people I know are actually prescribed both drugs and take them in conjunction.

swiy is happy to hear this. how much would you think swim should take on his first exp with them. He's been telling me that sleep has been rough the last couple weeks and he wakes up tired. Should swim go talk to a doctor to get something prescribed?

One should always start out slow and work their way up. If SWIY has never taken Ambien before, SWIM would recommend trying it on its own first. Either way SWIM would recommend starting off with no more than 2mg's of alprazolam (Xanax) and 20mg's of Zolpidem (Ambien). Even the 20mg's of Ambien may be a little too much for the first time and in combination with the Xanax. It may be smarter to start out with 10.

Just remember it is always easier for one to work their way up to a good experience than to work their way down from a bad one.

ADDED: As far as your question about seeing a doctor, if SWIY has the money to do so, then go for it. Don't expect them to prescribe SWIY a benzo or other hypnotic right away though as they may try something with less addiction potential first but if that doesn't work for SWIY, after a few visits he should be able to get something that works. SWIM is an insomniac so he knows how it is. Not being able to sleep sucks. So if it is a serious problem for SWIY he would definitely recommend seeing a doctor about it.

thanks for the help psycho swim will be talking to his parents about going to the doctor. Swim has only had about 1mg if xanax snorted and will prolly only take a 10mg ambien swim will post later how it feels.

OP, please always include the doses taken. I am in the UK and really have no idea what "a green bar" represents

swim says a green bar is 2mg and is time released. swim took 10mg last night didnt feel anything but slight happiness so swim took another 10mg and really didnt effect swim. swim still slept horrible las night.

Whar is green bar? Is it 2mg alprazolam or 2mg alprazolam gradual release tablet? Zolpidem should work for bezonaive person in doses 10 to 20 mg. If one takes toomany benzos before taking zolpidem-it wont work. Thats what swim told me, he once took 50 zolpidem tablets and it didnt work at all-he had ingested about 5mg alprazolam before that.

Swim thinks that instead of insufflating, swiy should crushing and parachute a 2mg alprozam bar and see how swiy feel. Since swiy didn't provide enough information, Swim will assume swiy has a Alprozam 2mg XR. Insufflating is know not to work in some people with the XR. Ask swiy how crushing and ingesting goes.
