Comedown - What is Kratom going to do for a hardcore IV heroin addict?

SWIM finally found his way to this forum and is interested in Kratom. He assumes it won't get him high, but was wondering if it would really help with withdrawals or even take them away. Any heroin users have any experience with this?

unless swiy plans on taking well above the normal high dosages... nothing..that is in the way of noticable recreational effects anyway it will most likelly help keep down rattling, nausea, and depression ifswiy happens to be withdrawing for some reason
kratom was a god send for swim when his prescription opiate supplyer ran out...

SWIM would like to think it could help with the WDs but to be honest he is not sure it could tackle something as stong as a heroin WD. Its very useful for WDs for something like hydrocodone dependency. SWIM thinks its definately worth a try though, SWIM suggests it would probably be worth going for an extract or at least a good enhanced leaf. SWIM recommends daily use with a long slow taper to keep it all under control.
Please keep us informed as to what happens to SWIY, its all real useful info and if it really does help it could be the blessing alot of people would welcome.

My lion can't personally relate to the pain of heroin withdrawal, but hopefully he can help in some way.

Mitragynine and 7-Hydroxymitragynine both are powerful agonist at the MU, KAPPA, and DELTA receptors, with more action on the MU receptor at higher doses. Some sources indicate they are more potent than morphine. This means it should extend or boost the effect of heroin, so SWIY could take smaller doses of heroin, or extend the amount of time needed between doses.

SWIM was given fentanyl for surgery today, and then given some weak Hydrocodone for post-op, and he made tea (white tea, peach and chamomile mixed for flavor) with aprox 2g of 15x extract from the store he works at. He said given that he has a naturally high opiate tolerance, and that he only took 10mg of hydrocodone, that the tea made him feel much more fucked up than he should be off 10mg.

Kratom can help with WD's from substances as strong as herion Swims buddy can testify to that. Like anything the amount is the key. Reg Bali might not cut it but Ultra Enhanced Indo and Full Spectrum Tincture should or maybe even Enhanced Bali. People who have had 180 mg a day Oxy habits have been able to quit with the help of kratom. A quick warning is the enhanced products can be addicting but most would be glad to trade a H habit for Kratom habit. Im not saying you wont experience any uncomfortableness but it should be greatly reduced. Good luck.

Also consider adding Corydalis into the mix, and/or looking to other poppy plants to help in discontinuing Heroin. Headaches were a big problem for SWIM when he weaned himself of the H, but Kratom extracts brought much relief when junk supply was running thin.
