Someone asked me,
"over the last couple of weeks ive discovered how much better eating weed is than smoking it. Ive made cannabutter then used the butter to make brownies. The only thing with doing this is that preperation to actually gettin stoned takes far to long than i would like, i normally make the butter on a thursday leave it in fridge over night then make cakes on the friday. I was thinking about just making weed tea so i can just drink it straight away, i mean i cant see where i could go wrong other than maybe the tea may not stay inside your body as long as the brownies would. If i was to do exactly what i do by making the butter but change the butter for non-skimmed milk the thc will still be absorbed by the fats from the milk... Tell me your opninions on doing this and wether you think it will get me as stoned as the brownies would, also if there is a better way than just stickig the weed, milk, tea and water all in a big saucepan and let it simmer for an hour or so." Re: Better way of eating weed?
eating is mad crucial. Its a good way to get a full blown high off of low quality weed. it also last longer and has a more mentally filling feeling. the only down side is it require a dose increase, as the oral method of injesting does not allow for as rapid absorption as smoking. Only down side. Well, also, if some one was to underestimate their dose it would be quite possible to have an very intense and possibly scary experience. Remember that cop who tried doing it and though he was dying? nuff said

Re: Better way of eating weed?
Weed OD isn't fun. It's debilitating. Swim spent a full 24 hours lying in bed, sick and confused.
Cooking is not essential. Combining the weed with a fat and eating is enough. If there's enough fat in the milk. Remember that the THC is only fat soluble, and won't bind or leech into water really. |

Re: Better way of eating cannabis?
i'm almost positive that that last post isn't right (sorry no offense). thc has to be heat activated in order to get someone high. at the high temps of cooking, the thc would vaporize. the purpose of binding it to a fat is to keep it from vaporizing. also eating the plant material can make a person sick so swiy have to make sure swiy strain out the weed.

Re: Better way of eating cannabis?
Fiveleggedrat is right, THC does not need to be heated, although it increases potency through the convesion of inactive THCA into THC from improperly cured bud, the THC is actively absorbed in lipid fats (i.e. butter, milk, etc..). But make sure the bud is finely ground to increase surface area/absorption.
SWIkrator could always make an alcohol based (151-190 pf) tincture with the cannabis. Once the tincture is made, a ml or more can easily be dropped into a beverage (preferably milk) & covertly get 1 blazed. |
