I'm in the UK too and thought the same thing until recently, SWIM found a source and has 10 hits sitting in his fridge right now waiting to be munched It is around, it's just that it tends to be very confined to certain scenes/places e.g. hippie/psytrance kinda thing. Even then it's still not easy to get, mostly seems to be MDMA at those kind of events but after much asking around you can get it.

Coke is everywhere, along with meth and E (which usually has meth in it anyways). Those are the drugs of choices now.
