Experiences - Brief story of an overdose

Ok, since there is no one that SWIM knows personally whom she can share this story with, she is going to put it on here. Last night, swim overdosed. She was slightly intoxicated for the first time in a long time, had some cash, and wanted to score. It is not out of the ordinary for swim to mix alcohol and heroin. Swim "went down" with her boyfriend and picked up a bundle for a good price. The two went back to swim's bf's apartment to shoot up. Swim and her bf set up their hits, with swim adding slightly (very slightly) more than she usually does on her first hit after about a week of not using. Swim's bf shot up right before swim did, and she remembers him saying "wow, babe, these are good bags" right as swim hit her vein. Swim remembers agreeing with him, and then nothing else for the rest of the night.

Everything from this point on was related to swim from her boyfriend. Swim tried to stand up right after taking the hit and collapsed on the floor. She was completely unconscious, and her breathing was loud and irregular. Swim's lips and face started to turn blue, and swim's bf started to give her cpr. He had no sucess for about ten minutes, and swim's skin started to feel very cold. Her bf carried her down the stairs and threw her in the car to drive to the hospital (which is literally down the street -- and where swim's mother was the head nurse on duty). While pulling into the parking lot, swim regained consciousness and started crying and saying her bf's name, so he knew she was ok and took her home.

Imagine swim's surprise when she woke up this morning feeling a little nauseous but otherwise ok, and her bf told her this whole story. Swim feels very stupid, as she was always very careful and should not have let her guard down.

So just a few things to take away from this story. 1) Never assume swiy can use more, even if its just a little more, than swiy usually uses. 2) Don't shoot up with any alcohol in swiy system (swim doesn't think this had to do with the fact that she ODed, but that it kpet her from regaining consciousness as quickly as she would have). Lastly 3), those of swiy in the Newark, NJ area, bags marked "recession" are of extremely high potency, so please use caution.
