Health - going from 400mg tramadol to morphine sr

hi all
im a long term cfs/fms sufferer
the pain clinic have now moved me onto morphine sr (40mg) perday from 400mg of tramadol per day
so far all thats happened since the switch is withdrawal from tramadol and nothing from the morphine pain relief wise.
i had 70mgs yesterday and still felt nothing. at no time hav i felt any euthoric feelings or any other effect attributed to the drug.
could any1 give em some advice on correct comparable doses so i can go to the docs with some ideas (my doc and me dont have a great relationship but thats another story lol)
i am also prescribed 400mg of pregabalin and smoke weed.

This SWIM person that you speak of should tell the Dr. that the 40mg of morphine is not working in the Pn. relief department(40mg.SR is quite a low dose in SWIM's oppinion).SWIM's Dr. may want up the dose.Even with that SWIM may still need "break through" meds for when the Pn. gets bad.

The dose of morphine that swiys doctor has put swiyou on should be rather similar in analgesic (Pain-Relief) terms(400mg Tramadol=40mg morphine),However if the morphine is not having the same effects in helping with pain relief then swiyou should go back and explain this to swiys doctor.Has swiy tried chewing the tablet a little before consuming?
It is possible that swiyou and morphine are just not compatable,this can be the case for some people.Maybe swiys doctors could try hydrocodone as an alternative or simply up the dose of morphine.
If swiy is in serious withdrawls or is suffering from great pain then maybe as a last resort swiyou could try the anal method of delivery,there are plenty of links on DF that will explain how this can be done.This will increase the effects of morphine greatly so be sure to lower the dose~again there are links that will tell swiy all he needs to know.
P.s swiy may want to re-read the rule about Self-incrimination.

unfortunatly i dont see doc till jan but im gonna ask 4 increase then. i rejected the offer of fentynil and hydrocodone as im not prepared to go to second line opioids yet.
the reason why i didnt use swim was cos im legitimatly taking MST so im not imcriminating myself of a illegal activity, but i will take ur suggestion in future threads.
thanks for the replies guys ive been upped now to 80mg p/d which helpswith the pain. the rest ive just gotta take. the stomach cramps are gone now just gotta wait for the dizzy spells to end now lol

swim cannot add to this thread but wanted to say that swim has ME and fibro and is also on oramorph. if you need any help or an ear then pm me.
