Culture - Netherlands X crackdown

I was reading all these articles on how Netherlands has an abundant amount of super cheap X because it is so easy and common to produce there, but all these articles were pre-2003. Then I came across a couple articles dated 2007 and 2008 and they were basically saying that the X in Netherlands has been all busted up because the US finally got the Dutch to crackdown and as a result Netherlands is not a big supplier anymore or an easy place to produce. They said it's mostly Canada supplying the X now and not the Netherlands. They said the US confiscated like 1 million tabs originating from Netherlands in 2002 but only 5,000 in 2007. I only read like 1 or 2 articles to this affect, can anyone else confirm this? Is X in Netherlands no where near as readily avaliable and as cheap as it used to be?

friend goodnight, i am from the netherlands and the X is at this moment a little bit more expensive. and harder to get than a year ago!! it has to do with some factors, but Nothing to do with the US.
