Storing - Sell by date of DMT?

swim has had half a gram or so of DMT in his room in a glass now for a good three months, and was wondeing if it would still be okay to use. Anyone else smoked very old DMT and noticed a difference to fresh stuff? he's thinking along the lines that it may oxidise or something if left in air for too long. swim has noticed that it doesn't smell much at all anymore, and when it was fresh there was the usual strong plasticy smell. If swim had been thinking he would have put it something airtight.

Most of the smell SWIM believes is from plant materials in the DMT, and has noticed the smell of his pure white/clear crystals is much less noticable than the yellow or orange stuff, if at all.. Also, much of the DMT that was circulating the jamband festival scene a year or few back was reported to be from a very old source, and was still great.. Stashes of DMT rumored to be buried away for many years (in an airtight light proof container) seemed to work as well as any fresh DMT SWIM has tried..

Nobody's red DMT always has had a plasticy smell.

Seems like it would be stable as long as it's, cool, dry, and dark, maybe add a packet of silica gel to the container.
