Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
A friend named jimmy the slimmy has started to consome PPT every now and then and he is looking for some good ideas as to what he can add to the tea to make it taste better/mask the god awful taste of it.
Any good ideas i can pass along to him? |

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
Ribena. Or Robinson's fruit cordial, Kool-Aid or whatever is your local equivalent. Works a treat. It's good to have a glass of plain water to rinse with afterwards all the same, though.

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
SWIM just uses 2-3 teaspoonfuls of honey. He has even mixed the powdered pods with honey and eaten it just like that.
![]() He has a strong stomach though. Here's an idea. Maybe Jimmy should try Kratom a few times. After he tastes that nasty shit he will think pod tea tastes wonderful.

Or drink a concentrated Syrian rue infusion - after that, a doggy's doo-doo will taste like something served up in a Michelin-starred restaurant.

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
swi find adding anything sweet makes it taste even more sickly.
sweet seems liek an obvious choice but id recommended something like a bit of whiskey or any sort of spirit. diluting your tea with more water is a good option too |

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
Seconded on the ginger.
SWIM'd advise against simply watering down the solution, as he'd much rather drink a small volume of something really vile than a larger amount of slightly diluted vileness. But that's just his personal preference. |

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
SWIM usually adds a bit of honey and a bit of lemon juice. The lemon juice also gives the tea a bit of a kick.

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
A good method that SWIM used to use to make some DXM containing syrups easier on the palette was rinsing his mouth out with mouthwash such as Listerine prior to chugging the liquid.
This helped with his poppy pod tea too. SWIM recommends boiling the tea down to a more concentrated amount before doing this. Chugging medium amounts of liquid is much easier with this method. |

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
Do you drink Coffee? Coffee is the perfect match for downing O tea. In fact, it makes it pleasant and can be sipped and enjoyed.
You Know Who uses dark and medium roast fresh organic beans. Brew up some fresh coffee. Boil a cup of water and add your O powder to the boiled water and let it sit for at least 20 minutes. Now blend that cup of O with a cup of Coffee. You Know Who evens like to add some cream ( actually soy milk ) to the blend and enjoy as one does a good cup of Coffee. The O and the Coffee match so well. Please, would someone report to this thread and let me know if you like this combo? Oboy! Last edited by Alfa; 01-02-2009 at 16:30. Reason: leaving forum |

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
Dont make tea at all.
Grind the pods into fine powder & place them into chili or yogurt, it completely masks the taste & the only nasty thing about it is the texture which is barely noticable. This way does not waste any opiate alkaloids as tea does so SWIy should probably dose a 2 or more grams less than what they make tea out of. |

Usually SWIM would let it heat at 140 degrees F for two days and it would become a very concentrated solution. |

SWIM has read that grinding the pods and adding them to yogurt can greatly mask the taste...

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
swim find that tea is the only way to do pods. any other way just destroys his GI tract think being constipated with sharp things sticking the interior of ones butthole. not fun. (dried pods, never used freshies)
Swim finds that the effects of PPT are superior to any other form of dope, (never shot anything and never tried heroine. don't care to try either) and he feels that the effects are well worse the nasty ass taste. he just drank some and just minutes later the nastiness is all gone and almost as soon the effects are felt |

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
Nobody's friend also recommends coffee, with the added benefit of countering the more stupefying effects, course if you want the nod...
Nobody just started using grapefruit juice as an acid source, as its inhibition of CYP-D-6 has the added benefit of being a potentiator. Might still need some lime as grapefruit isn't as acidic. Nobody swears they will start brewing experiments this week. |

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
SWIM also finds that wintergreen or spearmint tea works wonders to cover the taste, and adds a nice pleasant, menthol-y backbone to the inevitable bitterness of the alkaloids.

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
Oh yeah, that should work, as long as the heating apparatus is reliable and capable of sustained heating. What do you use to do this?

SWIM uses an electric stove with a thermometer probe to keep an eye on temps.

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
ONE WORD: ORANGE JUICE. SWIM mixes it 1/2 and 1/2. It completely kills the taste and potentiates the tea further. See SWIM's essay entitled: TEN SURE-FIRE WAYS TO MAKE POPPY TEA MORE POTENT. Enjoy responsibly and keep your head on straight or your dead.

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
in swims last post he claimed that he doing anything other than tea was worthless, well he has now tried eating powderized pods and has to say that this is the best way to do it. Swim would reccomend pod powder mixed into grape fruit juice. shit is tight

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
Ok my monkey just tried the yogurt mix, 20g powder into 1 1/2 cups honey yogurt. And i can still see the shivers running down his spine, it was still damn bitter but if eaten fast enough its tolerable. Maybe he should try a different flavored yogurt? If the grinds are eaten straight via yogurt or something else and not made via tea and throwing out the grinds does one get higher, are more goodies absorbed?

Re: Looking for a good mask for the taste of Pod Tea
Swim has tried a few different ways of consuming PPPowder (just eating it straight, mixing with "spun honey", mixing with different flavor puddings:Chocolate,Vanilla,Rice,Tapioca) and ALL of them are acceptable and pallatable to him.
He has decided that the best way for him to ingest the PPPowder is to (and this is taking into consideration his and only HIS tollerance) take any empty 20 oz. plastic bottle (he prefers bottled water bottles). He pours 2 tablespoons of VERY finely ground PPPowder in, then adds 1/2 of a tablespoon of sugar (VERY optional due to the natural sweetness of the other ingredent). He then fills the rest of the bottle with 100% Ruby Red Grapefruit juice. He then puts the cap on the bottle and shakes the bottle long enough to mix the powder and suger that is caked on the bottom of the bottle. Then he can immediately drink the ammount that is right for him (approx. 1/2 of the bottle at a time), or place the bottle in the fridge for later use. Swim is an avid Ginseng hunter so when anyone asks what he is drinking he replies "fresh Ginseng and Grapefruit juice". No one around here knows the difference and he was able to take it to the Courthouse when he had "Jury Duty". |
