Dose - Concerta Question

SWIM has been reading these forums for awhile now and has finally decided to make a post. One of SWIM's friends has been prescribed Concerta. SWIM has just been informed of this and SWIM's friend has agreed to give him a fair amount of pills. SWIM has a few questions.

1. If not insufflated and instead taken orally, what would be a sufficient dose to become very focused and work effectively? Also, what would be a good recreational dose? SWIM has read the threads and come across a few possible answers but would like to find out the answer for himself.

2. If Concerta orally is too inefficient for either, SWIM is not totally against the idea of insufflating and would be willing to give it a shot if reassured by SWIY by being given information on advised dosage for above reasons and tips for actually snorting the powder.

k. i think tios very very hard to snort concerta cuz the pills are made of this gummy binders and shit any really makes it not effective for insufflation. for focus, swimd say 15-20mg just to cocnentrate and focus bumped up to 35-40mg for recreational purposes. so basically thats bout it. sjut sue them orally. and aslo. if ur new to speeding. jsut be carefukl of the comedown. personally i think ritalin comedown is a hugeeeee bitch. wrse than amphetamine.

Concerta capsules are very unique in that they are rock hard and consist of three different layers.

SWIM has taken two 36mg concerta tablets with zero methylphenidate tolerance and he didn't feel much other than agitation.

If SWIy is looking to use the Concerta for energy throughout the day then SWIy should be fine taking them orally. But if SWIy is looking for a faster onset then check this post out on how to break the pills open.

Once SWIy does that, SWIy can just crush up the methylphenidate and parachute the powder orally.

I don't know if this is the right thread to post this in, but I have a question. SWIM has tried adderall before and loved it, and he is going to go to the doctor to ask about what he can do for his ADD. SWIM suspects that the doctor will probably start him off with straterra and then move on to concerta (He knows it's concerta because theres advertisements for it all over the office). He wants me to ask, whats the difference between adderall and concerta in terms of how it feels? I know one is dextroamphetamine and one is methylphenidate, they sound very different. Do they feel different?

SWIM was prescribed Concerta for a long time, and unless there is some new kind of pill out there, you can't snort concertas. They have a special time release capsule that is meant to keep you high on ritalin all day. Don't do anything except take them regularly. SWIM tried to take one apart to snort it before, and it's all fucked up inside with no powder to snort. SWIM gave his brother and his friend some of his concertas, and they chewed them thinking it would get them higher, and got REALLY FUCKING SICK and tweaked out in a bad way. If SWIY wants to abuse ritalin, get the regular ritalin pills or adderal. But not the XR versions.

I'm guessing your concerta is the 36mg dosage, I will respond in multiples of 36.

A good 'concentration' dose would be 72mg, and a good recreational dose would range from 108-144mg.

As for intranasal ingestion (snorting), ask me if you would like the procedure. "SWIM" has performed the 'ritual' of the preperation of the pretty complex conerta pill well over 20 times.

Snorting concentration: 36mg. Snorting recreational: 36-72mg. SWIM has snorted 108mg and it was incredibly hard on his body. Shaking, mydrasis, rapid heart beat, etc.

yea swim has always got the feeling of methylphenidate being much "dirtier' than amphetamines. at leaset it felt way more harmful to his body.
