Storing - Question about dried San Pedro lifespan

Hi there,

I'm currently writing a novel at the moment, where the central character takes Mescaline.

In the story, he managed to purchase some dried Peruvian Torch (two bags of 12.5 grams) and was initially going to boil and consume them straight away, but didn't have a sitter. (It would've been his first time with hallucinogenics).

Anyway, he crumbled the clippings into a fine powder but just kinda forgot about having the dried peruvian torch until now. He has a sitter and a location, but as it's been over a year, will the dried peruvian torch still be okay for him to consume?
