Opinions - Do Poppy pods need to be grinded?

So, supposing someone has some poppy pods in their possession, Do they really need to be ground down in order to make good tea? This person does not own a grinder of any sort, so how would this person go about making tea?

Well yess perrty much,you break them apart so that you can get ever last little bit out of them.If you dont have a coffee grinder or access to anything like thta,even a blender,then get some sissors and start shopping,it will take for ever doing this and it will never be pure powder but it will be alot better then just leaving them hole!
Pretty much the finer it is the better it will work...

Yeah a blender works good enough. Thats what SWIM uses most of the time.

SWIY should just go buy a coffee grinder from the grocery store, or any place that sells kitchen supplies. They are pretty cheap in SWIM's opinion.

they could get two bags, remove all the sharp and rough material and try mashing them into small peices by hand. That really seems to work well, grinding them doesn't do significantly more.
One would suggest for an easy 'tea':
follow the method above with set dose. Add to an empty water bottle (20 ounce or simiilar sized with a wide mouth is reccomended) Shake that shit until no more color change is noticeable. Filter, save liquid. you can do multiple "brewings" on the same batch of pods. for the dossage traditionally used, it will be good for 2-3 washings. Also, a wash with a non-polar solvent such as ethanol may be advisable in order to remove possilbe alkaloids that are non-polar moleculse

just some suggestions, one would say a blender is definitly not neccesary to feel profound effects

Swim used to use a weed grinder before he purchased a blender. Hard work but it was worth it in the end.
