Effects - Opium compared to other opiates/opioids?

swim know there is a similar threat on this board, but it is kind of weak so let swim try again. soon swim will be procuring a decent amount of poppy pods and wanted to know how they will compare to other opioids swim has tried. let swim rate them

tramadol- 1, never felt any relief, fear of paracetamol toxicity kept swim from dosing too high

codeine- 1, even at recreational dose all swim feels is tingling in certain extremeties, little to no analgesia/sedation

oxycontin- 1?, only taken in extreme duress after swim was bit by a big dog and being rushed to the hospital, pill gave no relief and swim felt like he was going into shock

kratom- 3-4, at about 6 grams of super indo, kratom makes swim relax and really get into movies that come on late at night. nice drunken stupor a few hours after use, a good high.

so swim asks, will poppy pods or pure opium (swim doesn't know if he will do an evaporation extraction yet) do anything if codeine and oxy don't? swim only weighs like 135, and hopes morphine will be the catylist for euphoria that isn't present in any of the other opiates/opioids swim has tried.

Well, seeing how opium is mainly just morphine and codeine, and that other opiates essentially convert to morphine in your body, SWIM would wager that maybe SWIY just doesn't like opiates...
But I suppose Tramadol doesn't really count, and SWIM doesn't have much experience with codeine, but if SWIY didn't enjoy an oxycontin, I just don't know! SWIM guesses that SWIY could try it, but judging by SWIYs other experiences, he has a feeling that SWIY just may be let down.

If SWIY does try it, please report back and let us know!

P.S. has SWIY ever tried Hydrocodones? SWIM says they are nice, too. SWIM isn't going to recommend heroin, but boy does it feel nice (that's what SWIM has learned)

hmmmmmm.... swim just read something kind of concerning. swim knows that using opioids can stop the natural flow of endorphins in the body after abruptly stopping usage, but swim did not know morphine has bad effects on long term memory.

swim is no doctor, but could the memory damage that is spoken of be on a dopamine level? as in cells not producing dopamine because they forget they have to? swim could live with that, but swim is a very health conscious person and never wants to impede swim's ability to learn or have a steady flow of conciousness.

SWIM wouldn't worry about it with occasional use. If SWIY does opiates now and then, or even somewhat regularly, there shouldn't be any worry with the opiate itself.

swim doesn't have a means to aquire opium regularly, so it won't become a habit and swim noticed no noticable effects on his memory when he experimented with opiates for the 2 weeks after his dog bite. i guess it'll be cool. swim hopes opium kicks kratom's ass...

Also, keep in mind that Kratom is a lot less dependent than other opiates, so SWIY will have a harder time getting addicted to it, but clean opiates are generally non-toxic and safe, it's the crap on the street that you have to worry about. SWIM doesn't know much about Kratom to testify to the safety of it, but SWIM thinks it may be good that he likes Kratom more than real opiates, because for some people it is very easy to develop an addiction to strong opiates.

i would give kratom a try if i was SWIY, one of the few entheogens that isn't too powerful to use for fun, or two weak to give any noticable feelings.

Yeah, SWIM has always wanted to give kratom a try, but has never gotten around to ordering. Thanks for reminding SWIM, though, he will order some and save it for when he takes his next dope break

Swim has never came across any form of tramadol that contains paracetamol.

That's codeine. Most people who like opiates don't think that codeine is any fun at all-- it's only good for pain relief not recreation.
