A question that puts the drug war in perspective
Personally I think the drug war is a scam. A scam that opresses those who use drugs not accepted by society, one that monopolizes drugs (pharmaceuticals), and one that witholds the true medicinal value & purposely understudied potential of many organic drugs (Ibogaine, shrooms, dmt producing plants, mescaline producing plants, cannabis). Why? To control the masses using false propaganda in order to herd us like sheep & keep us clueless. The drug war attempts to oppress those who see the reality of the situation for what it truely is, a scheme interested only in indefinately generating huge profits through the exploitation of pharmaceuticals (advertising, over-prescribing).These are the same drugs which are illegal on the streets, yet are being overprescribed to our nations children, young adults, & elderly as "pharmaceuticals". They want you to think the pharmaceutical companies care about you, but all they really want is your money at any cost, even if it kills you. Think about it, when you see an advertisement on TV about a new drug, how long is the list of adverse side effects associated with taking the "medication"? See the truth is, most of the drugs on the market have, for the most part, completely unknown long term consequences associated with taking these synthetic chemicals; and if you take a look at all the adverse side effects written in tiny print at the bottom of the screen on your TV set, I can assure you they are not at all good. And how many commercials do you see nowadays offering legal consultation related to deaths caused by the dangerous long term effects of these new drugs which ironically end up getting recalled with every passing year? Just think about it.
See the question every American or otherwise needs to be asking is: Why are drugs illegal? Is it because the government cares about our health and well being? Obviously not or alcohol and tobacco, highly addictive and ironically dangerous drugs, would be illegal & alternatively cannabis would be legal. If the government cared about our health and well being would they allow us to pollute our environment with gasoline, coal, & other poisonous chemicals? If our health and well being was of great concern to the government, would they allow us to pollute our bodies with preservatives, & growth hormones in our food? with chemicals (parabens, etc..) in our cosmetic products and sunscreens? NO!!! Well then what is it? I truely beleive it is because the government cares not about your health, your well being, or the well being of the very earth we live in, but because they want money at any cost, even if it means destroying the earth we live in and the people that populate the countries under the control, or the "protection" of these governments. Think outside the box for once, something the government does not want you to do, and realize that the drug war, global warming, war, etc.. are all interconnected by one thing: money How could all of these crisis have been prevented? By utilizing renewable resources: hemp (building material for our homes, paper, etc..) hemp oil {fuel for our cars, a way to safely get intoxicated "drunk" (the word that seperates alcohol from other drugs, which get you "high"), a cure to cancer and many other illnesses. source:http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/5169.html} passionflower (a natural antidepressant) hallucinogenic plants (non addictive treatments for drug dependance, a gateway to an open mind & greater appreciation for the world we live in & the people amongst us) Why doesnt the government just make money off of these things? Well they could but, they cant be patented and can be grown and made on your property very easily whereas synthetic chemicals and drugs have to be synthesized in a lab, a process by which can be patented and exploited for every last penny out of our ol' piggy banks. & while money can be made from these resources, they pale in comparison to the huge profits being generated through the synthetics & the government simply cares too much about the all mighty dollar to worry about the well being and health of its citezens and the future condition of the planet which we call home. So who's side is the government really on? It certainly doesnt appear to be ours. The point of this whole post is that we simply cannot afford to sit idolly, watching as the government & all its evil butt buddies, in the name of making billions of dollars which we will never see, destroy the people that populate our nations, & our planet through global warming, something which would have been easily avoidable had we demanded oil companies to go out of business and started utilizing & recognizing hemp for the miracle plant that it is. Because the sobering truth is, even in the midst of a global warming crisis our government will not stop its narcissistic actions unless we demand change because when that change comes the big oil companies , lumber/logging/cotton and pharmaceutical companies will be out of business & they will do everything in their power to prevent that. So come on people, wake the fuck up and stop allowing this to happen, if you care at all about the people that surround you, the drugs you love, the environment you live in; you will demand change. Thomas Jefferson-"If people let government decide which foods they eat and medicines they take, their bodies will soon be in as sorry a state as are the souls of those who live under tyranny."
