Combinations - Ritalin and Cannabis? quick please!

So swim wanted to have a little fun with the last of his Ritalin(IR) and took 20 mg. Seems he has a tolerance buildup and its not fun anymore. But he do have som pretty nice pot and wonders if it would kill him to smoke some of it? He took Ritalin ~1 hour ago.

SWiY should be just fine. SWiM has safely and funly done this many a time.

Just take it slow. Cannabis and methylphenidate are both dopaminergic, so there is something of an increased possibility of paranoia and anxiety. This is more likely if SWiY has a low tolerance to either substance. It shouldn't be (much of a) problem, but this might also raise SWiY's heartbeat a little much for comfort. SWiM also finds that the cannabis tends to blunt some of the attention-enhancing elements of the stimulant buzz, but other than that, SWiY shouldn't have anything to worry about.

Cannabis and methylphenidate go great together...really trippy speedy combo, intensifies the methylphenidate by ten fold..SWIM finds any amphetamine or amphetamine like substance goes great with cannabis

Actually swims Ritalin started to kick in just after he made that post and when he was done enjoying it he instead went to work in his lab.

But swim will be using different stimulants on and off in the future and then he'll prolly try it. Sounded like a great combo he thought.

my advice is simple. it is well known that methylphenidate is quite good at causing psychosis , so mixing it with cannabis a drug that drastically increases the risk of psychosis especially when mixed with stimulants IMHO is a bad ideea. dont think only about the trip , think about the repercutions too. avoid cannabis mixed with stims . i am big fan of stims , trust me i know every trick for a normal life while beeing hooked on meth for example

Thanks c17. Swim will keep this advice in mind too. When he thinks about it, he's really happy with both the way stims and cannabis works each on their own...

SWIM has done this combo and an adderall + cannabis combo many times. He finds that they both compliment each other pretty well. The ritalin/adderall ususally get rid of the worn out kind of feeling you can get from cannabis, while cannabis does intesify the adderall/ritalin. Overall, SWIM thinks it's a pretty fun combination.

well , if you ask swim ...
alcohol + methylphenidate is much better , you get the "positive effects" of both.
lower inhibitions , no anxiety , energy with no wobbles and best of all no muscle twitching and of course easy to go to sleep. again swim would avoid cannabis with any stims , the nasty part of psychosis is that YOU DONT GET ANY CLUE WHEN IT KICK IN. swim had to deal with stim-related psychotic characters and it's not funny. especially when they think they can control the weather or are the supreeme being, even their advice based on their star reading prophecies. also benzos are good too , but try to avoid this combo as it can easily become a habit.

If you were to ask my cat, he would say marijuana and just about anything else is a perfect combination. Stimulants like adderall, or ritalin, he reports, are better on marijuana. He also notes that these stimulants seem to detract from the duration of his marijuana high. Nicotine, according to him however, really takes him far.

My cats advice: if one was about to take some ritalin recreationally, one should definitely incorporate marijuana, as well as nicotine, if one has no qualms with smoking.

if swiys on ritalin by prescription like that then it should be perfectlly safe well not perfectlly but close. swim says the only things to worry about are anxiety/paranoia , extreme thrist, and a sense of a racing heart which swiy is most likelly used to if a regular user of cannabis or ritalin.
