Coffee filters and acetam

What are the chances that a coffee filter won't filter out at least 80% of acetam after doing a codeine extraction? SWIM is just curious because he is paranoid. after following instructions on how to extract, and doing the extraction. the final result(water mixed with codeine, caffeine and i guess cornstarch, SWIM drinks it. it tastes horrible. SWIM thinks vodka is easier to take than this. YUK. SWIM got a very slight stomach pain that SWIM wouldn't think anything of unless he was paranoid about acepam poisoning. It only lasted like 2 mins and was next to barely noticable. But sill just curious. do some coffee filters not work? Just want to make sure.

The instructions suggested a cirtain kind of coffee filter. The one we had was a re-usable one that we had for years. this is it:

I really wish would stop expecting accurate answers when they aren't even willing to give anywhere even approaching the required level of information! This isn't science; as long as SWIM is left with a load of paracetamol gunk and a reasonably clear liquid, it's all good. If SWIM is still worried then SWIM can keep filtering it until they're happy.

Seriously, what did you expect it to taste like? Chocolate milkshake?

P.S This sub-forum really, really needs a stickied, emboldened FAQ with huge neon arrows pointing at it.

Re: Coffee filters and acetam

Thank you! that's all SWIM needed to hear. I guess the only real question here was is there any coffee filters that wouldn't filter out the acetam. but SWIM supposes not.

And yes. according to the instructions. it was suppost to taste something like a chocolate milkshake. So SWIM was very dissapointed.

BTW SWIM was aware that this question wasn't a good one to post, and that it likely lacked information(like what was left in the coffee filter etc... and that it most likely would get bashed(but answered) in one way or another. SWIM's not too worried about his reputation here, if he was he wouldn't have posted this. he was rather just worried and most likely paranoid about his liver.

thanks again!

SWIM is right to be worried about their liver but like I said, it's not a science. Unless you have a lab and the equipment needed to measure these things accurately the best you can do is exercise common sense. If you're left with the same volume of liquid after filtering as you started with then common sense dictates you haven't filtered anything. If you're left with a relatively clear liquid (that tastes like shit) and a ton of white gunk then you're good to go.

Re: Coffee filters and acetam

If swiy is worried about accurate filtering on cwe try adding some paper towelets to the top of the filters. My dalek puts 2 coffee filters together and a paper towelet inside that folder up ... although you loose a little bit of volume better safer than sorry.

And also if your using a fair amount of pills try to leave the pills in the glass your pouring on rather than putting that through a filter. If swiy were persistant you could re-extract that gunk but my dalek wouldnt bother!

And swiy really would prefer vodka to codeine water? oh my! my dalek has gotten used to it in a strange way its all good.
