Dose - Liquid(oral) Alprazolam Dosage

SWIM has come across about half a bottle of liquid alprazolam left over from quite some time ago, the label says there was 300mg altogether in the bottle and states that the dropper is .5ml per drop

so swim has got approx. 150mg left and according to this site- h++p://psyweb.com/Drughtm/jsp/xanax.jsp

it is available in different potencies, .25 .5 or 1 mg per 5ml AND .25 per 2.5 ml ... is this correct ?? clearly since this was not prescribed to swim they may not ever be able to find out what the dosage actually is but they can at least guess

SWIM has received liquid alprazolam before, however the mg/ml could be different in SWIY's bottle. SWIM's bottles were exactly 1mg/ml, and since alprazolam isn't water soluble the liquid it was suspended in seemed to be ethanol so the effects were magnified a bit. In SWIM's experience, 1mg of liquid alprazolam is subjectively stronger than 1mg of regular alprazolam.

Does SWIY know the volume of the bottle? If he knew the ml he could use the mg remaining to determine mg/ml.

well it is in an amber dropper bottle with a curved body and one flat face, where the label is taped on this leads swim to believe either 1 or 2 oz

swim would measure the capacity but they're worried about moving the substance around too much/possibly losing any.... does the liquid used for the suspension affect the taste ?

according to swim there is a quite putrid/bitter taste that cannot be masked by any drink

swim thinks they may have received the same dosage as you, as they've ingested 4 drops and feel about the same as they would had they swallowed a 2mg xanax bar

seems logical maybe down the line they had the same source (swim and swiy) and may have ended up with the same stuff

only someone with a severe panic/anxiety disorder would be scripted the liquid formulation

I recently discovered my supply was made from pure alprazolam powder which was placed/mixed in propylene glycol since it is soluble in it

as is diazepam, which swim recently acquired 3grams of in powder form (much more pleasant than the liquid solution) and since it is diaz you can pretty much eyeball a 10mg dose with some experience
