Combinations - Xanax(Alprazolam) and Percocet(Oxycodone)

Hello,

I was wondering if anybody has mixed these two drugs together? I take both (never at the same time or even same day) in very small doses and get the desired "recreational effect" (10mg of Percocet and 1.0mg of Xanax) I have never mixed the two and have considered doing so. I have heard that it could be fatal due to it being a respiratory depressant, but I figured that is only if you take them in extremely high doses.

Any insight or experiences are welcome!

My pet iguana has mixed vicoden and xanax before. He only took a small amount of vicoden (a vic 10) but a fairly moderate dose of xanax. He really can't remember anything about that night except that he was exceptionally fucked up. All he can conclude is that it can be done!


My pet iguana would not recommend mixing any drugs, as that could potentially be detrimental to one's health especially if done irresponsibly.

Mixing any drugs should be approached with extreme circumspection and should only be remotely considered when the user has a basic understanding of how the drugs will interact with one another, the central nervous system, and the body.

It would seem unwise and impetuous to me to mix two drugs that can potentially depress respiration, possibly synchronizing and amplifying such effects.

If even a vestige of uncertainty lingers in SWIY's mind regarding whether or not this combination could be potentially fatal, I would not advise that he experiment.

I would certainly never use prescription drugs illegally, and would never use any illicit drug, or break the law, but would not consider this combination in such a scenario.

the largest caution i can offer is that nobody wants to pass out and waste quite expensive dope sleeping it off. both can make test subjects sleepy, and downers exibit a synergistic effect, where the total effect is greater than the sum of the parts.

also, avoid self incrimination dude. it really isn't too hard. You aren't allowed to break the law, and neither is anyone else, but you are allowed to talk about the actions of others with out this board being held accountable

I don't mean to incriminate myself. I have been prescribed both of these medicines but never finished them. I was only considering doing this experiment. Thanks for the input.

Swim has script for anxiety and pain but only take the anxiety med at bedtime. Why ruin the good feeling of percocet with the xanax?

SWIM has taken a zanny and then a percocet and the percocet didnt hit SWIM.
Anyone have that experience?

swim tried this combo quite a few times over the summer and found that it felt like something was missing. The two kinda cancel each other out.

Why mix drugs? Unless she had been abusing a drugs, Swim knows there wasn't a reason to up dosages or mix anything together. Use one at a time and appreciate it.

nah, SWIM loves it. just take a low dose of xanax and a level of percocet as the OP mentioned, that would be an excellent chillout combo.

But SWIM has taken a low dosage of xanax (2mg) and 30mg of percocet and SWIM felt it a little but not a much as she should have.

Percocet wakes me up and I feel like doing stuff and it makes me irritable so half of a1mg. Xannax really helps me feel more relaxed and euphoric. If I take too much I fall asleep so be careful with the Xannax. If you proceed slowly and cautiously you will be OK.

SWIM is prescribed diazepam, high dose hydrocodone and tramadol. While they are not the same drugs SWIY is Rx'd, they are similar enough that SWIMs advice will fit.
SWIM has a monster hydro tolerance, he regularly takes over 150 mgs at one time (yes, he CWE's it first), and when he does this he limits his diazepam to the barest minimum to work for anxiety (ie: SWIM is Rx'd 10 mgs 4x per day but when he is bingeing on his hydro or other opiates he takes only 2.5 mgs 3x day, then 20 mgs to sleep at night long after the opiates wear off.) The opiates are clearly a "better" recreational high than benzos, and SWIM notices that large benzo doses take a lot of the fun out of an opiate high, like the energy rushes, euphoria etc. All a patient is left with is the nod, which is nice in itself, but opiates have so much more to offer. Incidentally, SWIM doesnt abuse his Tramadol at all, no desire to. In fact he takes less than Rx'd so as to have some to ease hydro w/d when the hydro inevitably runs out.
Of course, SWIM is an addict with lots of pain and anxiety issues and has been doing this for nigh on a decade, so for patients that do not have habits, do NOT try to imitate SWIM. Patients will most likely die. SWIM would say, for a patient who still gets effects from 10 mgs percocet (lucky motherfucker) SWIM would suggest avoiding benzos during the opiate high as they tend to negate it. If SWIY wishes to add the benzo effect, using sub-recreational doses is the only way to go, but really, its a waste unless medically necessary. Also, NEVER, NEVER drink alcohol if combining benzos and opies, even at small doses. It is just asking for a Darwin Award.

From what swim understands, opiates that awaken others - which is not the typical effect, but most certainly and highly common - are roughly the same group of people that are calmed by many amphetamines. Somewhat a paradoxical effect takes place in certain people due to bodily chemical differences, explaining why some say that xanax and opiates cancel each other out, which is typically not the case.

As swiCC stated, benzos and opiates can have effects that synchronize and amplify each other. One can imagine how the opiate's "shallow breathing" effect can be coupled with a xanax's "slowed breathing" effect. Slowing down shallow breathing can most definately cause repiratory failure as one would be able to imply from these effects on top of each other.

Sidenote, swim gets a chilled out and be calm type of euphoria when taking opiates, but knows plenty others who strongly disagree, saying that the same opiates made them feel energized and awake.

swim is on 1.5 mg of xanax and 20mg of oxy at the moment.......

he just feels a little out of it..... and almost drunkish when he goes to walk....... its nothing amazing, but its alright.....

small doses arent gonna be fatal if you arent crazy

Anyway, sounds typical, the opiates just make swim feel sick if he goes a lil over board with em, thats the main reason swim doesnt even prefer them. Xans are fine alll by em self if swiy's lookin to feel loopy.

If you did a lot you wont remember a thing. Swim never remembers anything when on Xanax. Went to the cinema to watch Iron Man with his girlfriend the other day and when asked a few days later about the film swim could not even remember going to the cinema, let alone what was in the film.

Xanax is nothing special. Can be euphoric for some people, depends if your an upper or downer person. If you've been overdoing the stimulants and are having a bad crash then Xanax is very, very, very helpful. Also nice if ur stressed, just relaxes your mind.

Kansas City born n raised. I've met him a few times in Westport at the Beaumont Club, as well as Scatterman.

Swim never liked xans til he tried them, now it certainly ranks at the top with bud. Bud and xans are IMO best combo. Real chill high, makes the bud seem like Kush everytime, and it makes food taste like its been basted in Euphoria. Swim highly recommends it for all bud-lovers. The memory shortening sucks if you're trying to keep track of things to the letter, but other than that, its grade A.

EDIT: makes the memories during the experience feel cut up. Like Mikey said, recalling what happens comes in big chunks. You'll remember the big chunks, like where you went and what you were trying to do there, but they wont be connected, I.E. remembering where you went, but not totally sure how or when you arrive. Haha swim thinks its fun. With a few friends around, try and have everyone combine their stories to fill in the blanks, eventually everyone will arrive at a middleground and be able to recall almost everything.

EDIT2: Swiy might try droppin a bar and goin to the mall, or other crowded public places. Inhibitions to talk about whatever to whoever are gone. Fkn Fun.

swim cant remember shit on xanax.... the last time swim took xanax, he took 4.5mg and went into a gas station to buy drinks... and when he came back out, he got in the wrong car and was sitting in a complete strangers car..... swim doesnt remember any of that happening, but swims friends told him about it like a week later.... swim just remembers very little that night, they smoked about 10 grams of weed too, so that might of increased the effects a little........... and tech n9ne is bad ass, i love that song t9x... riot maker is a badd aasss song too
