Antidepressants and Neurotoxicity

so i have utfse'd and hven't found anything specifically about this--i am notoriously impatient too though so if i missed it i apologize in advanced. i found this paper while doing lit searches today (since i study biogeochemical cycling and bioavailability of iron in the world's oceans, i obviously wasn't being studious when i found this paper , more like my typical distractable self. anyway, i think some of us share a common interest in the chicken and egg issue of depression and using and what drives depression, thrill-seeking, etc. i've had my fair share of experience with antidepressants, and was unwittingly administered thorazine for 13 months at the age of 15 by a bunch of unethical fundamental baptists and thus am compelled to explore how all that affected my lil brain. i shall attempt to upload this pub as a starter. just a warning, focus on the intro and discussion sections--the methods and stats are just dense and boring unless you're a scientist (even then they're dense and boring and only slightly more intelligible ). so here 'tis. i shall post more later, but should probably go do what the university is paying me to do....for now *mischevious smirk*

Re: antidepressants and neurotoxicity

Thanks for the info. Anyone find any relevant information about SSRI's and neurotoxicity? I'm on the hunt

Found a link on it in the new zealand medical journal http://www.nzma.org.nz/journal/119-1235/2019/

Re: antidepressants and neurotoxicity

thanks for the article--that was an unusual case study--the patient had quite a few other issues but the citalopram definitely seemed to trigger extremely ill effects. it's been linked to suicide though too, as have other ssri's, which is intriguing in and of itself.
