How do you know what kidnof drug test there giving you on probation?

When I come on here i see alot of peoploe saying probation generally gives you dipstick tests, but when they give you a dipstick test do they usually do it right in front of you? Because my piss test place I go to has me pee in a cup in front of a guy and he puts this thing thats on the paper they give me before I go in on top of the lid then has me sign my name on the side of the container and leave. Does this mean there probably doing a lab test or is this just standard procedure?

SWIM's boyfriend is on a Drug Testing and Treatment order and he has to go and get piss-tested twice a week at the local probation office. He tells SWIM that it is a lab-test that probation do. That is why you have to put your name/details on it. He says that the dipstick test that you are talking about is something commonly used in rehabs when they want to do a quick check to appertain whether or not a person has used but when probation and the courts are involved they do a more trustworthy and official lab-test.
