i'm in need of some help, ive read on erowid that meth stays in your system for 3-6 days but i've also read somewhere that i can stay in your sysytem as much as ten days if your a chronic user...

so my question is, since meth is water soluble, can you rid your system of meth faster if your drink lots of water or other fluids? and alos can anybody give a correct time frame for how long its in your system?

Officially meth stays dectable by a urine test for up to 72 hours. This means that 3 days after your last hit you may still fail a drug test. It is best to schedule your test 4 days or longer after your last hit. Chronic users may need a longer time to test clean. But not longer than 1 week.

Swim has experience, swim was a guinea pig for a study at a hospital where they injected real meth (or a placebo) and/or a study pharmaceutical drug into swim then tested to see the effects of meth and how long meth remained dectable. The study was sponsored by NIDA and was monitored by doctors and psychiatrists. The purpose of the study was to learn how meth acts in your body and to use the results from the study to possibly find a drug that would help addicts to quit using meth.

A requirement of the study was that the subject have a history of using meth, but not dependent on it. To qualify Swim had to test positive for meth upon applying for the study. Then to prove non-dependence Swim had to test clean to each week of the study. Swim stopped using 3 days prior every week for 4 weeks and always tested clean.

A caution however is needed at this point. Depending on your dose meth can be detected by a urine test for up to a week. I guess this would also depend on how much fluids you drank after using. More fluids, less time meth spends floating around in your system.

One more thing to consider. Meth is also detectable using a hair test. As long as you have had your hair growing, it shows a history of your usage. If your drug test invloves a hair test, you would need to stop using for 3-4 days, then you would need to shave your entire body, and not use after you did. Then any hairs you grow won't contain meth. But you can't use one day, shave the next and expect the hairs to be clean. You have to be clean before you shave.

Swim tested clear from regular amph after 3.5 days, which is supposed to be 2-5 on average.



Otherwise, make sure swiy has a week to clear his system out. Drinking water won't really help clean it out much faster, although it is still necessary to drink it, otherwise swiy might clean out a lot slower than he would normally if he wasn't dehydrated.

Just don't make swiy's pee compltely clear. Just becasue meth is water soluble doesn't mean it's all in your blood and urine. It still needs to leech out of swiy's organs into the urine over time, so just drining water won't speed that up much. Although, he needs to make sure his piss isn't completely yellow and he keeps emptying his bladder on a regular basis. And give his body some water to work with to clense itself.
