Drug info - Meperidine - Demerol

SWIM is pretty experienced with the normal spectrum of the usual opiate/opiod suspects....hydrocodone, oxycodone, codeine, morphine, etc

but my pet just acquired a bottle 50....50mg meperidine tablets. according to the narcotic dosage converter i use....50mg is equa-potent to about 3.3mg of oxycodone so these things don't appear to be that strong.

still does any SWIY have any experience with these things?

I believe there is already a section dedicated to this but I will go ahead and respond. Red Rock has had experience with Meperidine 50mg white pills and found them to be rather weak compared to other opiates. He found even Hydrocodone to be stronger then them and was comparable to codeine or just slightly stronger than codeine. Red Rock even decided to shoot 200mg of Meperidine and see what kind of high that provides and felt a slight rush but was very disappointed. He found out that the hype that some people make Meperidine out to be isn't all that

Your dosage converter is wrong. SWIY should start out with the therapeutic dose and work from there. SWIM was prescribed meperidine tabs (which were combined with an anti-histamine) and caught a pretty good buzz off of a single pill. Also keep in mind that meperidine is significantly more toxic than most of the other opiates/opioids and metabolizes into a toxic chemical which builds up in the bloodstream over time so high doses might not be the wisest thing. SWIM found a recent script for some when SWIM had his wisdom teeth taken out, SWIM first tried taking one. One(50mg), didnt do much for SWIM, so swim took 3 the next time, and eventually bumped it up to 5 over the course of 1 1/2-2 hour period. When swim took 5 50mg's, swim was pretty smacked. in swim's opinion, compared to oxy, demerol gives more physical relaxation, while oxy is a bit more euphoric.
