ECSTASY KILLS NEURAL AXONS

Onestrong pill later I think I'm fucked for life. Sure it gets easier over time as your mind adjusts to the changes but I don't think I'll ever be as bright as I was beforehand. Any drug that can cause life-long damage from a single dose is something that should be feared. I am however very pro-choice. If you decide to continue to use this drug knowing the consequences (argue all you will, the evidence stacks up), you must be prepared to alter your brain chemistry, destroy nerve terminals and distrupt the way you think forever. Sobering thought huh? Altering 'who you are'. I've experienced all of what's been described on this thread and others, but because my symptoms showed all at once, I had a fairly accurate and horrifying idea of what it does.

agreed, im gettin sick of this "drugs are bad mmkay" shit, know too many people who graduated college and lead very successfull lives despite drug use.

honestly i have never done x and really was looking forward to it till i started reading these threads, and i have no idea if this is actually happening to people or if its just people trolling.

my guess would be people trolling because if it was that damn dangerous i doubt people would want them, altho if these are real accounts i appreciate the info, youvecertainly made me think twice.

however ive done almost all the drugs crestkeeper has and have experienced no significant decrease in cognitive functions, and the vast majority of experienced drug users would agree. In fact mostof usfeel we know more and see things in ways we never would ofwithout using.

so i hope noone reads this and goes oh my god if i do drugs i will be retard derp dee derp (mom the online drugpushers are after me!!)

agh its pissin me off i think im gunna put a poll up if noone mindsEdited by: pokeymcsmot420

itd be a shame if you were put off taking e because of stuff like this. really. im not saying ignore what they said, you should listen to what everybody has to offer on the subject - although you should take it with a pinch of salt, especially if you read the other thread the topic starter posted (see it here) which begins "One day I stupidly took 12 'Ecstasy' pills (from 3 different sources) in the space of 4 hours".

just be careful and dont be a twat when judging your dose.

I am kind a sick of the pro-drug propaganda. Most ppl aren't even
honenst about the side-effect of the drugs, and especially MDMA.

I really really HATE mdma. It has changed my life in a negative way and
the life of my friends. It should fuckin be banned. I'd rather use
Heroine than MDMA. I can't be arsed to go into details, but most of the points have been written in the above posts.

My advice is just to stay away from MDMA. Don't believe the
pro-mdma-propaganda hype. The research and shit. It does say fuck all.
Believe the people who are telling you the trueth..

I am really disgust by MDMA and some pro-mdma posts above.

I truely believe, that as long as you don't overuse/abuse E, you can enjoy it. I recommend not using it every weekend.

FakeBlood, I again assert that I don't beleive you when you say that you
have five friends who all report major problems from using MDMA
moderately for 6 months. You say "around every four weeks" - that isn't
very specific.

Furthermore, the problems you say they have don't sound very serious,
nor drug related. Remembering something out of the blue? Feeling down
for one day every now and then? These things happen to eveybody.

You claim a statistical improbability that I find hard to swallow.

I used MDMA for about a year - every 6 weeks. max 2,5 pills..Often they
weren't even strong. I did not use E every weekend or ever shorter than
4 weeks.

These are HUGE problems and I don't think that you understand how
awfull they are. You are being short-sighted. And in my opinion I
didn't abuse MDMA, but I did abuse MDMA. It's so normal to use
E-pills at rave parties. And I read so much about MDMA and all
the research that has been done. Then reading Shulgin's comments and
thinking "this stuff can't be bad". Oh well..Bit pointless,
trying to explain this on a drug-forum Who am I kidding..

Peyote, I am in the same boat as you. Dont underestimate the power of the human mind though. It may take two or three years, but we can more than recover.

Im going to write a detailed report about the impact ofEcstasy on me and my friends. Watch this space.

you saying all us people who say theres very little or nothing wrong with mdma are lying then? i used e every weekend pretty much for 2 years, i abused it, and in the short term i noticed side effects, feeling down constantly was the main one. but a few others like having weird, jumping trains of thought (which i actually found quite useful) and slight short-term memory problems (which may or may not be down to the marijuana i was smoking at the time). i still use e every few months now, but i dont abuse it any more - 3 pills max. but i dont have any negative side effects from it. i dont have any short-term memory problems, my thought processes have (unfortunately?) returned to normal, and im not depressed.

i also have much more confidence than before, and am less self-conscious (a big plus, let me tell you). and i know others who would agree with me. so all in all, i would say dont believe the anti-mdma propaganda, and would be equally as justified in my point of view as you are in yours...

Sorry billyloner, but ur so full of shit...Please remember my post.
Eventually there will be a moment when you realize how fucked up bad
MDMA is and you will feel like a fool for not wanting to believe me or
others who have warned you.

Been there, done that. All I can say is that I was a fool like you, who
always had my arguments ready when it came down on using exctasy (read:
I was always pro-mdma and I could always find good source for my
argumets)

But it end you will, IF GOD helps you, have enough guts and brains to
reflect the situation and realize that MDMA is not the stuff you can
use every month or every 6 months.

For now, you're just being an ignorant fool

Those comments were referring to fakeblood's post. You never did state

I want to state here that I am not being pro-MDMA here. I'm being pro-
truth. Just because I'm skeptical of one person's story does not make me
a partisan.

I've worked, for a long time, for a major harm-reduction organization
known as DanceSafe. I've seen and spoken to more than my share of
people with problems which seem related to ecstasy abuse.

Fakeblood's claims of having five friends with major life problems from
what he/she claims was short-term, moderate use is just impossible to
believe. One friend, yes, maybe ever two. But him/herself, plus five
friends, all ruined by MDMA in just a few uses - no.

I tend to agree, there is something iffy about all this. If more explanations where given it might make a lot more sense.

For now, you're just being an ignorant fool

theres no need to get personal. however, if we are i think it is you who is the ignorant fool. you seem to be treating me as though im a beginner to e, still in the 'honeymoon period' or something. and you seem to be saying that what you experienced is 'right' and what others experience is 'wrong', if it does not agree with your 'right'. you say i will realise that e is not something i could use every 6 months, and i will eventually realise it. i used to use e every week for 2 years, and if you actually read my post (rather than dismissing it because i disagreed with you), you would see that. i used every week for 2 years, and in the 2 years since then i have used every few months, maybe 4 times a year. now i have NO negative side effects. i dont mean very little, i mean none. nothing at all. that is not to say i have no side effects. i do. but they have been overwhelmingly positive. at the risk of repeating myself (obviously it is required as you didnt bother reading my post properly) the side effects i notice now, after very little use for a couple of years, are an increase in confidence and a decrease in how self conscious i am. i know many people who have reported the same effects from taking e.

again, i will repeat myself: all in all, i would say dont believe the anti-mdma propaganda, and would be equally as justified in my point of view as you are in yours... (perhaps i need to explain this last point for you? e affected you in one way, and you are justified to warn people of the possible negative consequences. and im glad you have done, because it would be irresponsible for me to tell people e is totally safe just from my experiences of it. but for you to dismiss my point of view, and my experiences, simply because they do not agree with yours, makes you out to be a bit of a dickhead. and actually just as bad as somebody who promotes e without acknowledging there may be side effects)

i think that may be down to what fakeblood calls 'moderate use' - if you read his other thread you will notice he/she claims to have taken 12 pills in the space of 4 hours. for anyone this is a lot, but for a short-term, moderate user, with little or no tolerance, this is beyond stupid...Edited by: billyloner

This is what fakeblood said:

Admittedly I have abused the drug, but my friends haven't. I have
unwiselfy taken 7-8 pills in a night on two occasions, but my friends have
never taken more than 2 pills, and use only every 4 weeks or so.
Was there a different thread where the story changed to 12 pills? Edited by: radiometer

haha. i seriously doubt seeing a doctor is necesary. maybe just cut back on how often you're taking it. If you go through periods when you're taking x too often it will screw with you're seritonin levels.
