Tramadol covers missing hydrocodone

Once a year my pain Doc takes a urine sample. I was surprised and concered with no warning and out of hydros for 2 weeks. I was lucky to have had only one tramadol the night before. I passed the test. What a relief. Moral; if you want to keep getting your pain med, keep a couple Tramadol on hand. Anyone had that happen to them?

Tramadol would likely get past a dipstick, but not a complete laboratory analysis.
