Pharmacology - Hydro tolerance - codeine tolerance

Swim is wondering since she takes a great deal of vicodin what is like the mg ratio from vicodin to codeine mg. e.g. how many mg's of codeine would swim want to take to equal 5mgs of hydrocodone and still feel the euphoria or at least stay off the w/d symtoms

These types of question are touch as shit to answer. There is no real way to give a dosage crossover between different drugs, since EVERYONE gets VERY different effects, and Swim can't know Swiy's exact tolerance. However:

Hydrocodone is definately less euphoric than codeine. Don't expect the same feelings.

As for dosage, 5mg hydrocodone? Perhaps 15-30mg, but more in the 15-20mg range, I would say.

I suggest Swiy doses a small amount of codeine at a time to find the perfect ratio to keep w/d's away and still not OD, while not wasting any and recementing addiction. Start with 15-20mg per dose, redose every 20-30 minutes on a empty-lightly full stomach (stomach contents greatly affect time for a opioid to become active)

If Swiy can give their full, regular hydrocodone dosage, Swim can also give an estimate that will be more accurate.

swiy is very helpful, thnx, to have a euphoric-like situation swim takes about 40-60mg hydro depending on how often she takes it (she extracts the apap on them, she isnt dumb)
So swiy has any info on that dosage, also want to tell smiy swim's tolerance to hydro is high, she doesnt know if that tolerance affects a codeine tolerance or not.

40-60mg isn't too much, but some tolerance is definately present. Back in the day, 20mg used to have Swim content. Now, 100mg produces not much.

Hm. I would say 100mg-200mg equals that, depending on Swiy's body/tolerance. I would definately suggest starting on the lower end too, working up slowly.

Well as fiveleggedrat pointed out to answer this kind of questions is really hard; specially with codeine because it's a pro-drug and everybody has a different codeine-morphine convertion rate.
As I aways recommend with any drug start out with the smallest possible dose and work your way up.And fiveleggedrat:What do you mean hydrocodone is less euphoric than codeine? swim has never tried hydrocodone but has always thought it was a stronger opioid than codeine...
