Experiences - Semi-instant effects when dosing psychadelics?

A lot of times when swims doses triptamines/phens he instantly feels an alertness/something within just a few minutes of administration. Does anyone else experience this?

This is just the adrenaline effects because of the anticipation swiy gets from dosing. Also the placebo effects plays a big role in the come up of a drug. There is alot of literature about the effects of cognitive bias and/or the placebo effects, you should take a look at it its very interesting.

There was an immediate alert within minutes. As usual, it was only an awareness, then nothing happened for a while. In retrospect, I see some type of activity or awareness within 40 minutes, which then builds up over time.

My friend notices this with a lot of drugs, including alcohol and GHB. The feeling is exactly the same as the initial effects of the drug, but it must be placebo as it's just too soon even for these fast-acting substances.

It is weird the way the mind can recreate the feeling perfectly though.

This dosent happen to grandmas homeboy with anything besides trips/phens,what my hypothesis was is that these substances do kick in alot quicker then many realizes just eh effects are extreamly mild/barely there. My friend says he feels the aleartness/feeling are so mild that he probably wouldent even notice the effect if he didint have several hundred psychadelic experiances under his belt, But then again he also excepts that this could be a placebo effect,who knows?

I think many of these effects are probably in your mind. Drug experiences are powerful and profound, at an unconscious level as well as conscious, and they can create powerful conditioned responses too. Several people SWIM knows, as well as himself, become mildly nauseous and apprehensive just when smelling 5-MeO-DMT. Also think of the people who say they get goosebumps just when thinking of shooting cocaine. Drugs have a way of coming at you from the depths of your own being like few other experiences can.

It shouldn't take very long for some miniscule amount of drug to get to the bloodstream and brain, and if one is conditioned to know that it is followed by full-blown trip, maybe a pavlov's dogs -like effect takes place.

Are all the molecules the same size for the drugs in question? Maybe if the molecules vary in size considerably (though I cant really see how this would work based on the definitive structure of atoms) some smaller ones could get through far quicker than the rest, mimic the effects and be used up quickly. swim has never had normal effects come on early, but has gotten side effects after about one minute of swallowing mdma. He started getting mild shaking episodes especially his jaw, and after one minute there sould basically be none in your system at all if swallowed, as its barely reached your stomach let alone your blood stream and jaw.

Though I would have to say placebo does seem the most likely. The mind can be a strange thing.
