Effects - Concerta + Mdma = Super High or Low

Swim is wondering what the effects would be of a combination of these two. Swim has been taking concerta for almost 3 years, and notices that is can take 1g of mdma to get high. Most likely due to the similar reactions. Swim is sort of dissappointed when his friends can take 3 mdma's and be shitfaced all night. Swim is wondering if taking 1 56mg tablet of concerta paired with a .2g Mdma would have the desired effect. Or would the focusing aspect of the Concerta waste the effect of the Mdma?

Swim would also like to point out that 1g to get high meaning doubling up is how he starts the night at 2x.2 and then taking 1 more every 1.5-2.5 hours to keep roling till close. However Earlier this weekend (sat) he took 6 .2 throughout the night doubling down 3 times, and had the night of his life. He noticed something odd, he told me that he was hallucinating very intensly, closing his eyes, and walking just to open then and thinking that they were closed. As well, if anyone plays video games, he also kept believing everyone around him had a certain "level" and as it was haloween, gigantic costumes made him trip so hard, that he would laugh his ass off for munites at a time. Imagine his face when after swaying to hard trance eyes closed for an entire track, a smurf would look at his face, with a 10 foot clown asking if he was alright. 0_0 AHHHHHHHHH followed by five minutes of laughing swims ass off. He was wondering if these halucinations are part of an OD, because swim actually enjoyed the feeling of confused euphoria.

1) Hallucinations generally do not occur on MDMA.

2) 1g would be an huge dose, and likely an overdose, the type needing medical attention. I doubt Swiy is really consuming that much.

3) Concerta is Methylphenidate. Why would Swiy combine this with MDMA? Sounds like a bad idea. They are both stimulants. MDMA is stimulant to at least some degree.

4) If there is some sort of cross tolerance between the two drugs, of which I'm unsure, then stopping the Methylphenidate would be the only way to effectively lower dosages.

Well, swim has halucinated before this is not the first time. And the reason that swim believes its .2 each is because that is what all of swims friends who have dropped for years believe that the dosage is. As well, even if it is .1 each (although swim is 99% sure that is isnt) swim still knows that swim need a huge amount. Swim already takes more than all his friends who have been raving for 4+ years. The question is, is there a bonus to having maybe 3 x 56mg concerta crushed up before heading out to the rave? or right before going in?

well , i suspect the hallucinations are "psychosis-related". it's a wall known fact that methylphenidate is pretty talented at causing psychosis. i had buddyes that got the "i feel the need to kill" from methylphenidate , there are quite a few reports on that matter , you can check errowid ( concerta xl 54mg to be more precise ).
combining a "psycho killer substance" with "a love potion" tho' for some may sound interesting , it's not and if you dont think you dosage thoroughly you'll probably end sitting on a bench 'cause you muscles are too tight to walk and chewing your teeth/lips.

SWIM often halucinates from real high doses. or eating a nice hand full of x-stacy. Not realy sure what concerta is, like some sorta prescription thingy?

the open discussion of huge MDMA overdoses is turning my stomach but that's not what this thread is about, I'll save that venom for another time.

MDMA and Methylphenidate both act on serotonin so if one is already on concerta any other drug that acts on serotonin, ex. MDMA, will be rendered weak in comparison to someone not taking concerta. Therefore the increased dosage of MDMA is likely causing excessive oxidative damage due to the neurotoxic free radicals that it produces (this effects is well documented), and also why the increased dosage is necessary in the OP's case in order to achieve the perceived normal effects of MDMA.

Also the hallucinations are most certainly caused by methylphenidate's propensity for delirium and psychosis, especially when taken as a daily prescription over long periods of time, like the OP's case. MDMA probably only exacerbated the present condition in the OP and is not likely the sole source of these delusions.
