What does hash smell like?


SWIM got 4 grams and it smells kinda like a spice or something. When you smoke it, it tastes kinda like burnt leaves. It looks like pics of hash though but I wouldn't think it would smell/taste like that.

Looks good to me. Swim's hash would smell kinda pot-like. IMO, hash usually smokes harsher than pot. Does it for Swiy?

Taste/smell depends on what strains it came from, and the conditions of said plants, as well as any cuts/additives they put in it. In the US, cut hash is rare, and hash is rare enough too, haha.

That's odd. It doesn't smell anything like pot to SWIM. It does smoke harsher though. SWIM put a tiny bit in his bowl (just enough that it wouldn't fall through) and tried smoking it (didn't touch flame to it, held it above til it heated the smoke out) and it was kinda harsh. The smoke is thick white which SWIM reads is what it's supposed to be. It's just the damn smell and taste that seems weird.

SWIM wasn't sure if there was a subtle high and didn't notice or not. SWIM has been smoking straight Indica for the past 2 weeks every single day about 3 times a day so maybe it came from a more Sativa weed and SWIM didn't notice the different high?



SWIM didn't know it's rare in the U.S. His dealer had a big block of it (looked kinda like a soapbar).

How much did Swiy smoke, weightwise? How pure does Swiy think it is?

It should be pretty strong, and cross tolerances between indica and sativa exist. Swim found this out

If it is soapbar it's probably not that pure. It didn't break SWIM's wallet to get either.

That's a tiny piece; if it's soapbar, I believe its on par potency wise with regs, probably 5-10% THC, can't find a source for this, but soapbar is known to be garbage generally. Good hash is at least 30-40% THC, imo.

Yeah, SWIM should have smoked more. He was just scared it was cooking spices or something somehow made into very convincing pieces of hash.

Yup, let us all know how it goes for Swiy! Swim has never seen fake hash sold before, but ya never know!

Swim could find a way to extract the pure THC from it and smoke that. I'm sure it's covered here somewhere, how to extract THC.

SWIM was thinking about that. THC isn't water soluble so I may be able to put it in water and "dissolve" it and then filter it (opposite of a CWE which filters acetaminophen) and keep the stuff on the filter which should be the THC and whatever else it was cut with that isn't water soluble.

i live in the states and i've never seen soap bar, but my freinds who study abroad come back telling me hit for hit, soap bar is about equal to south-east 'middies' (which tend to be significantly stronger other herbs bearing the name in other regions of the country, maybe due to better grow climate for outdoor plants?) it doesn't look like soap bar. it looks like the real deal to me, but i'm no expert. did the subject of this post feel somethign from it? if so its probably real

Somewhere there must exist good photos of various varieties of hashish. From different locations of the world. Most good hash comes from the Middle-East. But there the similarity ends. Red Lebanese looks and tastes far different from Nepali Finger Hash - for instance. There is a common thread regards the smell and taste though, but even this isn't something one could discern by on it's own. An experienced user might well be able to identify different hash by taste/smoke. Hashish does have a distinct smell and flavor. It smells like - well - hash! It is unique.

Alas - the best hashish has virtually vanished from the world market.

Thanks guys! SWIM and a couple of his friends smoked about 3 grams of it together last night. SWIM went to a couple parties and nobody had heard of hash so they got to try it too and they loved it (especially the sweet smell).

Well, well... For 10 years plus cannabis has been a daily part of SWIM's life. SWIM very much enjoys bubble hash. The taste/smell is unique. I find "spicy" types tend to be more Sativa, whereas the Indica will vary, but anticipate a couch lock like "nobodys" business. I generally prefer Sativa over Indica. Unlike plant matter, even killer strains, there is a "suffocating" sensation as with good bud, but plan on not breathing after a nice hit for some time. SWIM gets all of his bubble hash from Canada and it is just as potent as the varieties you'll find in Amsterdam/Morocco/India. SWIM finds a half O will last a good 3 weeks plus... all SWIM needs is a few hits and he's toast! It's nice that the USD is around 20 + cents stronger than the CAD, basically 20% off when ordering, gotta love it. FYI, pls no PM's as SWIM told me he will not divulge online vendors. Also premium bubble hash is very potent, IMHO only hash oil is more potent

It looks good to me. Swim smokes hash, havent smoked anything else before. There is an awful dry where swim lives. But it looks very good. I think that hash smells like some kind of spice. Hard to describe, but swim enjoys it. Even tho swim hasnt smoked the weed, he thinks hash has very harsh feeling when you get it in the lungs, but it reallyy gets you high as hell.
