Why is 1/4 litre = 12.5g?

Excuse me if this is a silly question......


....but I cannot work out how the liquid measurment becomes the weight measurement?


Can anybody please simplify?

This is because there are usually 50mg (0.05g) of Ketamine Salt dissolved in 1ml of water. Thus in 1 litre 50mg/ml solution there are 50 grams of ketamine, so when you boil off the liquid you will be left with 50g's. Hence in 1/4 of this there are 12.5g.
