its a lot better than dilaudid! its just like heroin...cuz heroin when it reaches your brain it actually is morphine....so heroin only exists in the external form...inside your body it turns from diamorphine to morphine!

let me guess, you snorted dilaudid and snorted morphine and now think that morphine is better. IV them both and then see which one is better. It is no contest, dilaudid is awsome. (speaking of which I hear a little yellow K calling to me right now ; )

Morphine sundaes anyone? This is my drug of choice, but one I must stay away from totally. The like gets out of control too easily, and detoxing is extremely ruff.

dilaudid is 2 to 4 times stronger than morphine. if you snort 10 mgs of dilaudid it will make you feel twice as good as snorting 10 mgs of morphine.

I've taken morphine (never snorted it- didn't know that was an option-that's probably why it didn't do a lot for me); now I'm really wanting to try dilaudid.


Here's the problem: I have no idea where/ how to get it. All my friends are totally straight, so I have no connections (it was just blind luck that I got the morphine). ok- as far as snorting, is it best to do all 10 mgs at once? or space it out a little?


My experience: Snort one 2 mg pill, take one orally, and take another orally an hour or two later. The effects were very pleasant, but mild.


Would I be beter off taking/snorting 5 pills at once?


I am always alone when I take anything, so I am scared of taking too much.


So far the comparison to morphine is very similar, with dilaudid being slightly more "numby/tingly" for lack of a better word.


methadoneman- I've heard the opposite-a few doctorshave told me that morph is the stronger drug, and one who said they're the same in strength.

Dude, how many times have you taken any kind of opiates? You cant depend on another person to tell you the amount to take if you dont know what the fu** your doing especially when you're talking about some of the most powerful shit you can get. You've got to figure this stuff out for yourself. And beleive me, after a while, snortin 30 mgs of anything isn't going to do the same thing for you, but you know this. Hey, for me to get high, I have to take about ten norco 1000 mg vics, then snort about 80 mgs of something pure like morphine, and ive only been on opiates for 1 year! Thats how fast it progresses.


My advice to you would be to stay the hell away from any other drug than weed and alcohol.


But if you really need to know; To me, you sound like you dont have much experience with snorting powerful opiates like morphine, dilaudid, and oxycontin. First start off with 20 mg of morphine or oxy, or if you want to try dilaudid, i think the biggest pills you can get are 8 mg start off with about 12 of this. (Also to increase the high for no more money, pop about 5 extra strength tylonol and wait till you can feel it then snort your pills)


all i know is I researched and found this information on a health web site, as well as being told by doctors, and the experience.


But do not exceed over 40 mgs of d or 80 mgs of m or oxy in an hours time.


once i snorted 160 mgs of oxy and i thought i was going to die.


just remember to be careful and read and research what you are going to do BEFORE you do it so you know at least a little that is going on in any other now situation

you're right, a good dose for one person might be terrible for the next.


But I actually have more experience than you think: I've been using painkillers on & off for two years. Started with vicodin, went to oxycontin, then morphine, and finally heroin. My tolerance is up there. But I stop using here & there to try to stay one step ahead of full addiction, and to try to bring my tolerance down so I don't need as much.


The only thing is I never snorted any of the pills, and I wasn't sure if the amount you use should be any different than if you take 'em orally, that's all.


Add to that the fact this was my first time with dilaudid, I just wanted to gather as much info about it as possible, you know?

Dilaudiid has a better rush, but after the rush is over theres not much of a high... yeah morphine is better IF IV'ED

Morphine, especially sulfate, has a warm prickly rush that can actually be uncomfortable when you use a large amount. Dilaudid has a great flushing rush with that awesome tightening of the muscles between the shoulder blades. I personally prefer dilaudid for IV. JMHO.

NOT trying to be the ONE that knowes it all abought nothing...BUT EXPERANCE of 15 years of controled use of opiods as well as a number of other Rec drugs redayly avalable as a health care profesional I can give you some in sight as to the why fors in your statments.


Dulidid is a resythsised morphine that has a two pass effect. It has a net value of 2-4 times that of morphine but its best trait is that it first is used by the pleaser center of your brain and goes thru the blood/brain barior with out being metabolised after 12-20 min it is then pass thru the liver then is made in to morphine with the excpected morphine results.


The drug Fyntanal ( Duragisic,ect ) has a similer effect . Its first pass thru the blood stream goes stright to the spinal cord and brain pleaser center and pain receptrs and has the same kick as 80-100 times that of morphine. In its perscription forum ( vers O.R. meds that are IV ) it comes in a patch that is worn on the skin for up to 72 hours. It has abought a 90-95% absorbsone rate when absorbe thru the mucus membrane . It first passes stright in to the blood and then to the pleaser centersand has a mean half life of 20 min then it passes thru the liver were it is then converted to a much smaller doses of morphine.


DO BECARFULL WITH THIS DRUG. a single 75McG/H patch when used as directed is the same effect as taking 280-360 Mg of morphine oraly a day. If you times that times 3 days worth of the drug in each patch thats around 1000 Mgs of morphine in a single dose!

I have alot of experience w/opiates (pill form). IMHO Dilaudid is about 1.5 to 2 times as good as oxycodone (taken orally anyway) and that's saying a lot. It's a more intense buzz, foggier, equally euphoric and more "head in the clouds." Don't even expect to be able to even read a book very well on the stuff, even in pill form it's a "lay down & nod" type of high.

A person can reach a limit with oxycodone & start getting sick of it (the high, the comedown, whatever), but I could easily see someone going up, up, up to infinity dosage w/Dilaudid. Till death do ya part...Edited by: Nicaine

Morphine is bomb, i used to rail these things to the dome all the time, i compare the high to oxy's i used to love railing these things.. no more for me, too much tolerance now, and i love it way too much

I know the feeling... I rarely do opiates anymore. Maybe a few times a year, when I bump into someone who has some.

Main prob for me is the side effects (dead sex drive, can't shit, can't sleep right, etc). Was wickedly hooked on hydrocodone/vicodins a few years ago... the high ain't even that good, I wouldn't recommend that shit to anyone. Back in the mid 80s I had an almost limitless source for opiates (place of work), my choice at the time was Percocets (now those are good, LOL).Edited by: Nicaine

generic hydromorphone(diaudid) is much better


synthetic opiates make for a better euphoria and the gen's are the size of a tic tac. plus theyare measured in 2mg pills(=to about 30mgs of morphine). and theyare stronger, its what the burroughs did whren he didnt have heroin(he was a writer for those of u that dont kno)

In a couple of weeks, I'm going to be spending a lot of time in the
hospital, hooked to a PCA. Basically the deal with a PCA is, you get a
button attached to a ton of IV painkiller, and when you want some, you
press it. The only restriction is that it only works every five minutes
(supposedly this stops you from killing yourself). Nobody tracks or
even cares how much you use.



I basically get my choice between Morphine and Dilaudid. I had a very
minor reaction to Morphine a long time ago, so they tend to opt toward
Dilaudid, but if I tell them I'd like to try it again, I'm sure they'll
let me, which is basically why I get a little bit of choice here.



Pretty much everyone in this thread has said that for IV, Dilaudid is
the way to go, so that's probably the plan, but I'd love more opinions
from people experienced with both. I'd like to enjoy this
recreationally, and it will definitely need to function as a
painkiller, as I will be in an awful lot of pain. Thanks for the
opinions.

well you really can't go wrong with either of them man!!. They are both gonna be awesome for IV. I would have to say go for Dilaudid for sure though. It is stronger and will get you higher...o yea and it'll get rid of pain better then morphine too. I would be surprised if anyone said go with morphine. Hope this helps you a bit!. I have done both on many occasions and morphine really cannot compete with Dilaudid.

morphine is a better injected drug. dilauded is just a rush. dilauded is a better snorting drug. I do not advise anyone to snort morphine. The filler material is a jello like substance that i am sure destroys your snoz even quicker than most things.
