haha the first time swim heard that song tripping on shrooms was on the movie "pink flamingos" eat some shrooms and check it out when that song comes on in the movie you will be terrified, confused, and probably start laughing thats what happened to swim atleast that movie is real fucked up to watch sober but tripping its so fucking crazy

SWIM is not an avid Shroomer but SWIM would imagine any Pink Floyd could be really trippy and Bob Marley's music would be really happy. While SWIM realizes certain drugs enhance your senses, SWIM has always wondered why music alone enhances mood due to brain chemistry altercation but at least in SWIM's experiences, when SWIM used Mary Jane (SWIM HATES IT NOW) that this experience would be like 10 x stronger while used. I think if you watch "The Wall" by Pink Floyd enough times in this state, one can understand why the orginal singer is now in a mental ward. SWIM even tried the whole "Wizard of Oz" flick to the theoretically proposed soundtrack to the movie, Pink Floyd's "The Dark Side of the Moon." SWIM does admit there were some really interesting correlations, but SWIM also admits to being SWIMMING in deep water at the time so any correlation would have stuck out. Then SWIM also wonders, if there wasn't something to this, who in the world could have possible noticed the following, "Hey SWIM BUD, DUDE if you play Pink Floyd's album the Dark Side of the Moon exactly on the roar of the third Lion in the begginning, Dude its so totally in SYNC almost like it was supposed to be that way." While SWIM admits to trying this out of a "college Winter snow in boredom curiosity" the complexity of the dynamics of how this "Urban Legend" got started perplexes SWIM and also worries SWIM because whoever this poor SWIMMER or group of SWIMMERS were they only had 1 album and 1 movie in order to watch to be able to notice this correlation.

Since SWIM, has mentioned movies, SWIM would like to mention, that if one really wants to get a weird experience, go SWIMMING, and watch the movie CONTACT. There is some really deep hidden symbology and meanings to that movie and its quite thought provoking. And if any SWIMMERS out there want to laugh until they hack up a lung, I'm not sure any movie could be funnier while SWIMMING than "Up in Smoke."

SWIM agrees that Pink Floyd is the best music to listen to on shrooms. But SWIM doesn't like to watch movies on shrooms because it always takes too much effort and it is a distraction from his own creative thoughts. SWIM would get more enjoyment from looking at a blank sheet of paper than trying to concentrate on the TV. Although SWIM used to think he would like to watch certain movies on shrooms, he has learned that once he starts tripping, that this is a bad idea.

SWIM tripped once while listening to a mix cd of The Album Leaf, The Flaming Lips, Minus the Bear, MGMT, and the Chemical Brothers and had one of the most amazing experiences of SWIM's life.

Shrooms tent to make Swim forget that he is having earphones on. Witch makes Swim feel as if the voice is comming from his suroundings. A really great experience Swim thinks.

Anything by Radiohead is absolute bliss while tripping in SWIM's opinion. In SWIM's opinion Thom Yorke just gets "it" and Radiohead's music is always a pleasure to listen to, espcially while tripping.

Agreed, Pink Floyd is a staple band when it comes to tripping- especially "Dark Side of the Moon" and "Wish you Were Here" although I've heard all the songs SOO many times now. I personally also REALLY like "Animals", and a couple from "A Momentary Lapse of Reason", but especially "Echoes" from Meddle.

I'm a bit young to have seen Gilmour/Waters/Mason/Wright all playing together (major bummer), but one of my favorite shows EVER was seeing Roger Waters do Dark Side of the Moon Cover to Cover as the 2nd half of his show. It was packed full, and I wish I'd done shrooms that day, now.

Also if you haven't seen "Pink Floyd Live at Pompei" , you HAVE to see it if you like their older stuff. It's just the 4 of them (after Syd's time) jamming in the ruins of pompei, with no audience, just huge speakers and the ruins of Pompei as a backdrop.

Esp. Echoes- What an AWESOME tune, with a great "heavy Bass-influenced riff in the middle. One of these Days is also Classic Old School Pink Floyd.
