Health - Ketamine side-effect : tinnitus ?

Hello,

I've been prescribed Oxycontin for a year and a half to treat TMJ pains
and since it's getting less and less efficient my doctor told me to
undergo Ketamine injections (IV; 0,5mg/kg) in order to lower my oxy consumption.

But I've also got tinnituses... Do you know if these ketamine injections could worsen them ?

Never heard anything related to tinnitus and ketamine, but I'm very interested in the effectiveness of K for pain. Please keep us updated.

Tinnitus ocurred before or after oxy treatment?

Tinnituses and TMJ pains started at the same time, before the oxy treatment.

Ketamine is used to treat pains because the NMDA receptors play a strong
role in the "memorization" of chronic pain by the brain as well as the
tolerance to pain.

Wow - this is first person Swim has seen that has ketamine prescribed.

SWIM has had Tinnitus for as long as they can remember and it hasn't been effected by their ketamine usage. SWIM found it hard to sleep sometimes with the ringing but now with a nice line before bed they can get to sleep nicely.
However, tinnitus is known to be a side effect of some psychedelics like DMT and DiPT.

My Bill has terrible Tinnitus but hasn't had a problem when Ketamising. In fact, he often feels his ears are totally rested when indulging, strangely enough.

Alfie my horse suffers from tinnitus when he has been out clubbing, it seems worse when he has been using K heavily in the course of the evening. Sleeping pills seem to be the only solution to the insomnia brought on, as the bells, ringing can last between 4-6 hours :/

Also he clubs wearing ear-plugs now unless the club has a funktion-1 balanced sound system.

Swim has also gotten very intense audio hallucinations on Ketamine which could be described as being similar to tinnitus ..... more like the noise of a radio frequency fluctuating.

Swim has also found it hard to sleep sometimes while on k. However its the rapid heartbeat that seems to keep him up. Sometimes its almost like trying to sleep after a night of doing coke. However when this happens, swim is usually extremely messed up and on a fairly high dose (although not k holing).
