Will citric acid pills work?
Swim is perscribed to take 4 1000 mg citric acid pills daily to stop the formation of kidney stones. Swim's wonders if this pill(which is easily dissolved in water) would work better than lemon juice for the aid of poppy tea. If so, how many mg would be needed. Will the fillers and binders cause problems? Any advice for swim is highly appreciated.
P.S. This is swims first post, the rules have been read, but if swim has done anything wrong will a mod please notify swim. This forum has been extremely highclass and informative so swim would like to be here for awhile. |

Re: Will citric acid pills work?
Of course it will work just fine, alas it will lack the flavour that is so badly needed to make a palatable drink. Have yet to see any real proportions for a recipe, but 2 per quart aught be more then needed, there is no danger in putting in too much. Ginger makes a good admixture too, keeps the stomache calm and adds strong flavour.
