Dose - Paregoric - how to get the most out of it?

SWIM has some paregoric, with 34% alcohol and 1,7 mg of opium per ml.

How should swim take this?

He was thinking about doing 750 mg of carisoprodol (soma), and when they kicked in, he would do 10-20 ml (recommended dosage) of the paregoric, and see where that takes him.

SWIM also contemplated benzos.

Mixing depressant drugs can set off a phenomena known as mutual-potentiation. This is where one pill of z + one pill of y = 2zy. They make each other stronger. For this reason it is most dangerous to do this without being the most careful ever. This is where people end up dead. They don't just give one the effects of each drug. It increases the effects of each drug - so the opium in the paragoric may be twice as strong as if done without carisoprodol, and the carisoprodol may also be doubled.

These numbers are rough estimates. Mileage will vary.

Swim cannot feel the recommmended dosage of paregoric 10-20 ml at all, it is too subtle. 10x1,7 = 17 mg of opium per 10 ml, which is not a lot. Swim thinks he remembers that around 10% of opium is morphine, which again would mean 10 ml paregoric = 17 mg opium = 1,7 mg of MORPHINE (probably less). He's not sure about these numbers though.

Maybe he should consider cutting the soma dose in half, just to be on the safe side?
