PPT hangover/OD

So, swim has made poppy pod tea many times. He usually uses one or two cups, but the last few times he has pushed it a little farther... drinking 3 even 4 cups of the brew.

The last two times, swim has woken the next day with an EXCRUSIATING headache, vomiting, and his muscles feeling achy and weak. Swim usually feels sick for the whole day.

The question is... are these symptoms of an opiate overdose, or just a really bad pod tea hangover? Are there any ways to make these very unwanted side effects better? Thanks

Re: PPT hangover/OD

Not sure about poppy tea as SWIM hasn't had this but he is very experienced in opiates and based on what SWIY has described, it could be the beginnings of opiate withdrawal setting in. When SWIY has one the next day, do these effects go away?

Re: PPT hangover/OD

Sounds like a bit of opie hangover to me but it can also be the beginning of opie W/D's like mentioned above. If it is opie hangover SWIM finds that vomiting or adding a MILD(and I do stress MILD) dose of opies the next day cures it,sort of like a beer after a hangover.

Re: PPT hangover/OD

Swim had heroine hangovers, not nice ! That was a long time ago and he can still remember the first and worst time. Think someone overdone it if swiy can stand it then a small dose of poppy tea could help, it helped swim with heroine.

Swim never done poppy tea, he tryed poppy seed tea once. Plus some painkillers mainly tramadol and dihydrocodeine (medical reasons) When he was younger heroine and methadone.
It looks like a opiate hangover to swim, but cant say for sure.

Re: PPT hangover/OD

Yes, this sounds more like withdrawal than hangover. Don't use more than twice a week max, really. Keep tolerance down and addiction away.

Swim personally has never had an opioid hangover of any type, except for getting nausea/vomiting with certain ones after the drug's effects are over, mainly methadone and tramadol.

How does Swiy make their tea?

Re: PPT hangover/OD

Swim usually only drinks the tea once a week, every two weeks, so he has a small tolerance, and I dont think he would have any type of withdrawals. It must be just a hangover if he takes too much. He has never wxperienced this with vicoden, percs, or tramadol

Re: PPT hangover/OD

A hangover?!
SWIM usually feels superb the morning after a night of tea, and still slightly buzzing.

Is SWIY sure it's not something like mouldy poppies?
