APAP in hydrocodone

swim has a bottle of " HYDROCO / APAP 5-325 " (which isnt His)
and wants to know what this means because he knows APAP can be harmful. HE has taken Hydrocodone before, but did not see APAP 5-325 on the label
anyone want to explain?

Re: APAP in hydrocodone

Guldenat is correct. If one cares about his body he will read up on the cold water extraction(cwe) technique. It easily removes the acetiminophen(apap) from opioid painkiller preparations such as vicodin and the like. If one plans on ingesting these, PLEASE extract the nastiness!

Re: APAP in hydrocodone

Exactly, it means there's 5mg hydrocodone and 325mg acetaminophen.Don't worry about doing a CWE unless you're gonna take more than 4.
If you ARE gonna take more than 4 then i would recommend doing a Cwe, use the search engine for more info.

Question Re: APAP in hydrocodone

Doesnt CWE waste sum of the hydrocodone?

SWIM would think the filter being used in the CWE would trap some of the hydrocodone dissolved in the water which is passed through the filter.

Losing a bit of hydrocodone is monumentally less important than liver damage...also practice and sound procedural technique reduces hydrocodone loss. For example using a wet filter instead of a dry filter will eliminate the potential for the filter to absorb water containing hydrocodone.
