Effects - Initial use of Fluoxetine - more energy?

Hi guys,

SWIM has just been put on Fluoxetine 20mg 3 days ago for SA and depression.
SWIM was previously taking Escitalopram and even coming off it slowly ended up having a relapse. From his experience with Escitalopram it takes a good few weeks for the SSRI to start working.

SWIM has noticed the last 3 days a great improvement in energy and general mood compared to what it was like before. He has accomplished quite a lot in the few days but it doesn't make sense for an SSRI to have kicked in so quickly. I've read a few things about people feeling effects from day 1 similar to this but I'm wondering if anybody here has experienced a similar thing to SWIM.

Compared to 3 days on Escitalopram, Fluo is heaven. Escitalopram was like a head trip/come down, up and down for the first 2 weeks.

I don't expect this to last though, I have the feeling something is going on upstairs, not sure exactly what. I wonder if what SWIM is experiencing could be hypomania?
