Okay, so SWIM is flat broke and can't afford heroin anymore, but is lucky to have a stash of suboxone. SWIM has been detoxing pretty well, but still has horrible cravings and anxiety.
A lot of people recommend for withdrawals and detoxing to listen to your favorite music to chill out and kill the time. For SWIM at least, all his favorite music is associated with heroin now!
SWIM loves Chicago house and drum and bass (one of a small community of Americans

), and every one of his favorite parts in a mix or favorite songs is associated with that fucking awesome minute where you get a draw, start shooting up, and get the that heavenly rush... UGHHH. SWIM feels that ghost of euphoria in his memory when he hears the parts in his music that he's shot up hundreds of times to. SWIM still loves the music, but it makes it fucking painful now without having the heroin to go along with it.
Christ - anyone else feel this?
Getting off heroin is the worst thing in the fucking world.
